I'm happy to get more of the series, I'm simply not a fan of drama stemming from overhearing only part of a conversation. We'll see if it goes that route as there are other ways to continue the series, and other ways to work drama into the story. Which regardless I'm still going to enjoy the upcoming chapters, I'm merely stating my own opinion on the cliffhanger on this forum meant to discuss the series.

My money is that luxi explains that that is how things were but that things are changing. Author seems to like painful cliffhangers into people behaving reasonably.

I only read it on here so I don't know the details, but I can say Mangadex has been a burning boat this month. So I'm not surprised if Dynasty gets priority now.

This is a classic pointless nonsense bullshit drama setup and the author knows it.

That's way too quick of a judgement, I think. I'm also not understanding the idea that this would be pointless or a misunderstanding. She has felt inadequate the entire season. That's the whole reason for trying to study her Dom in the first place. That's part of her fears when meeting the mother and why she's been overworking herself recently.

Inadequacy has been the overall theme since the start, so this would be an appropriate extension of that. She doesn't have to mishear things or misunderstand for it to be an issue. It's already been one. If anything, I'm assuming she'll hear Luxi trying to lovingly cover for her to her mom and might feel bad because her GF feels the need to do that. The series handles these things really well anyway.

I'm not saying the underlying feelings are pointless, just that the overheard phone conversation is an old school cliche that I'm mostly sure the author is not going to color the lines in on. She's set up these moments before only to divert or subvert their usual directions and I am looking forward to how this Doesn't turn into the nonsense bullshit drama where the arc doesn't address the actual feelings but just clears the immediate understanding. I'm with you that your second paragraph is much more likely to happen than TongTong hearing the snippet and running away before she can hear the affirmation

Her plan was...roundabout when she could simply communicate with her girlfriend, good intentions but very silly way to go about it. I'm glad the overhearing something and it leading to drama trope was avoided, and the chapter ended cutely.

Yeah Luxi wanted it to sound authentic. Anybody can say nice things to make you feel better but overhearing a random conversation where your GF is "privately" defending you to her mom is a bit different. It's like hearing your friends praise you behind your back. Feels good in a unique way.
