What is the correct way to eat caviar?
I dunno "the" correct way, but my parents would spread it over Melba toast (a kind of cracker, and possibly the 'slab' the girl referred to), possibly with cream cheese or sour cream in between.
Also, you should like the taste of caviar. If not, don't force it!
The most common way it’s served in the west is on melba toast with finely chopped egg or cream cheese. Options include super finely chopped onion and/or finely chopped parsley. It’s typically served as an appetizer.
Even on the Japanese side, caviar is recommended to be eaten on small bread-like 'slabs' such as crackers or baguette alongside other ingredients such as egg, cheese, salmon or vegetables similar to bruschetta or canapé.
