In a series revolving around contract killers, the sister’s ended up being the most fucked up one by far.

What the actual fuck was that clone arc, like this has had "arcs" before but they were all kinda silly, this is just straight up nightmarish and makes one of the few people they let live an absolute fuck up.

Still laughed lots cause it had that Red Vs Blue energy of "ok how the fuck did we even get here"

hmm, the earth. At least it should take an unimaginable amount of time to actually leaf, hopefully.

I can't believe the mangaka reads Mangadex comments

I'm wondering if this a setup for the ending lol. Also that pursuer probably has one of the longest screentime so far. That was like 8 panels.

Has to be, pairing 'suddenly, it's way, way faster' with touching the earth is way too convenient to be coincidence. Double-barreled Chekhov's gun.

DRAMA?! AND PLOT?! Wow my dark humor manga is developing

First off I'm happy to see Marin's sister is alive and didn't die this chapter. I was worried that after the whole ordeal in the clones arc that Konoha or even Marin would kill her.

Also those poor fanservice ninjas lol. Mangaka didn't even cutaway from the deaths this time. That whiplash is the one comedic moment for me. Rest of the chapter felt more serious especially with Konoha lashing out at Marin's sister and the reveal about the Association

Yeah, that sister is quite awful. Bad enough that even assassin lady had to yell at her a bit. Because yes, they're all immoral people acting in their own self interest to detriment of others. But there's a difference between what you do as part of your profession, and what you do to the people you claim to care about out of pure selfishness. Konoha wouldn't balk at doing a wide swath of awful things, but I don't think you'd see her doing any of them to who she regards as her family.

Side note: At the start of the chapter the ninja sisters say that 'her jutsu is useless against an opponent who fights bare handed'. Which makes little sense to me, since that seems like it'd make it easier to make contact and turn someone into leaves rather than harder. I guess they might mean that a skilled close combat specialist would be able to prevent her from ever making the contact she'd need to land the jutsu?

Satoko can only turn non-living things to leaves

Her jutsu only works on non-living things, so a bare handed foe has no weapon to turn to leaves - at least that's the way I read it

Riiiight. I forgot about that somehow, with all of the things she could affect that living was something she could not do. My bad.

Well in chapter 37 she did accidentally use her jutsu on the ground so.... we'll see if the Earth counts as living or not

Only this psychopath of an author would just start the chapter in the middle of a fight and have konoha lose an arm on page 2. Again.

"You're kidding, right!? I'm dying over he..." hangs up

Maybe the best joke of the manga so far.

We got the first true hint at konohas backstory. Seems to also involve family.

Damn with konoha actually standing up for marin and marin moving in next door, the throuple ending actually is coming into reach.

It be funny if it didn't kick in till died. Ah kids your grandma has passed peacefully after a long and eventful life. Poof sudden leaves.
