Actually so real, it feels like sometimes Saburouta forgets that it’s a romance manga and not a slice of life, plus even though they canonically both have issues yuzu’s distrust of mei is so infuriating sometimes like YOU proposed to her and you can’t trust her to just talk business with her childhood friend
real? real like two 40 year old japanese salary women who leave for work at 8 in the morning and get home at 8 at night, say goodnight to their partner and go to sleep. I can't believe that two teenagers who are engaged, who live together and who are living their courtship behave like this. where is the romance, where is the passion? .... I don't agree that the main problem with citrus+ is its periodicity, what it showed in a part of the readers is indifference and boredom. it's curious but looking back, the arc that generated the most gender debate between two sides was not precisely one of yuzu and mei, it was that of harumin and matsuri that ended with that random kiss of matsuri, which came to nothing and as we see today "never happened", it "died". Sara and Nina, Shirapon, the mystery of Mei's mother, Harumin's sister, even Matsuri's brother, Nene, Himeko, Mei's father, Yuzu's mother.... there are already many familiar characters to move the story forward and give development to the characters we already know, to introduce new ones that no one is interested in.
