That's simply not what happens. The teacher "approaches" Rei to comfort her when she sees a student in emotional distress, in the course of which she discovers that they're both being jerked around by the same person.

It's been licensed! Re reading and yup, I hate this. The latest chapter (6) showed promise... But the characters have no redeeming qualities, it's just pain.

Hooray, an update! Nice timing too, with the recent license announcement.

The backstory continues to add to Ami's character. And apparently shamelessness runs in the family; I couldn't imagine being a parent who comes back home just to beg their high school child for money.

The scene at the end is also interesting. I'm getting the impression that this is all some kind of messed up "test" that Ami's putting Rei through. Like she's acting really awful to intentionally try and drive Rei away, and Rei realizes and is calling her on it. Certainly doesn't make what she's doing right or healthy, but it does make for an intriguing story. I also wonder why the friends keep going along with it? Surely they must have some awareness of what's going on between Rei and Ami, and ought to know well enough to politely excuse themselves?

I can’t decide if the live interest is being terrible because she deliberately wants to keep everyone at arms length because of mommy issues or if she’s doing this because she’s just nuts and there’s nothing more to it.

I think some people on Dynasty should not be reading anything other than wholesome slice of life. I find tuning into a series only to be enraged about fictional teen girls kind of a weird hobby.

She certainly hasn't had the best example growing up, even if it's still no excuse. Might have caused some trust issues there, though...

Don’t most people use “bitch” nowadays as another way of calling someone an asshole/bad person? Ami is a bitch, so they’re right.

Also, she’s a fictional girl, why does it matter? If getting mad at a fictional girl is a weird hobby, defending a fictional girl is just as weird imo

the whole concept of "bitch" is pretty sexist so i agree and it also bothers me and rubs me the wrong way when i see someone using it; if it's a guy, well obvious reasons, and if it's a girl it's because this sexist world push onto them that calling a girl who cheats a "bitch" is okay, when there's no equivalent of the word for a man; a "cheater" or a "player", an "asshole" or whatever simply does not mean the same as bitch. it's the same as why "reversed racism" or racism on white people doesn't exist. that's why i said despicable people and nothing else, the whole concept of "bitch" is just not right

I fully agree with you, I'm tired of those people completely exempt from misogyny defending this behaviour. If you don't have the maturity to read works that aren't a black & white "this character is good, this character is bad" and constantly holding your hand, then only join the discussion after you've grown up.
