Since I've also not read the novels and only read the manga, which is currently only entering the arc where that becomes relevant, I also don't understand if this is like a trans thing, or an alegory for that, but apparently the current queen of the Bauer kingdom put a curse on Yuu when she was born to make her a boy, though she still becomes a girl every full moon, if I remembered the recent manga chapter correctly

Not to be rude, but if you're letting something as arbitrary as shipping get in the way of your enjoyment of something, then you REALLY need to get your priorities in check, it really ain't that series

There IS such a thing as interacting with a piece of media independently of its fandom, after all

From what I've heard, the story seems to be pushing a het ship or two. And if not the story, most fans (especially the people I'm following) are on board with said ships.

I was already uninterested based on the episode I watched but finding out about that really didn't help.
