I've been looking through the chapters for the series I translated that are on here to find stuff that's been changed/fixed. Besides these I have some chapters for Yuugai Shitei Doukyuusei as well, but I still don't know if more detail is required or just saying the chapter needs it is enough.

I am a bit confused about Dynasty's homepage's sections.
I am not sure what's the difference between the two sections I squared below.

I have long assumed both sections are "Recently Added" but the left section include thumbnails and tags, while the right section doesn't. Today I realized the two sections don't display the same chapters.

Not a silly question at all!

It would be more accurate to say that the items on the left (with thumbnails) are recently released and items on the right (text only) are recently added to the site. The difference is that the releases are when the chapter was first made available by the scanlator. For example, the items in your screen-capture were added to Dynasty on Aug.17, 2022, but their release dates are in 2020 an 2021.

Something I'd quite like is a "brand new" page that takes this distinction a bit further and only shows new oneshots and chapter 0/1s of newly added series.

Generally when I visit the site it's to read new chapters of subscribed series, or something totally new. The "to read" list is good for the former, but the front page isn't great for the latter as I find it's predominantly chapters for series I've already tried and am not interested in.

I think I've previosuly brought up being able to blacklist/ignore series additionally to tags for the same effect, which at the time was dismissed for proably being to resource-intensive.

Edit: They've been updated. As Dynasty uses rather aggressive caching, a previous reader would need to clear their browser's cache to see the changes applied.

Would it be possible to tidy up the volume/chapter numbers for Ohana Holoholo?

Following MD the volume chapters are:
Vol 3: 13-19
Vol 4: 20-26
Vol 5: 27-33

The page order is all screwed up in this chapter. It goes 1 -> 10 -> ... -> 18 -> 2 -> ... when it should be 1 -> 2 -> ...

I guess that depends on what you mean by series. If you mean a specific multi-chapter manga being posted here, I don't think there is. If you mean it in the sense of a series for which doujins are posted here, the series function as tags here as well and can be blacklisted as one.

Can anyone explain how the animal ears tag works? Why does the Konohana Kitan series have it but not the fanart for that series in the gallery?

For the person who handles the Images section, there is no serious interest in adding any image-specific new tags. Could definitely change in the future.

Inconsistently applied, but the general (old) rule for doujin content was to not tag specifics that should be obvious by the series they're a doujin for. Otherwise, I'd expect the Animal ears tag to be applied to any occurrence of that feature unless it's overriden by the Furry tag.

Generally, I'd like to add new tags every 2-4 weeks. As we've been working hard through this year to clear out the previous queue of tag suggestions (not new tag suggestions - existing tag suggestions applied to old content), new tags have almost entirely been put on hold in the meantime. Read the next post, though!

Small Housekeeping Update (August 9th, 2022)

Addressed ~1500 tag suggestions since May 14th

With this, the old backlog of tag suggestions (suggestions of existing tags to new content) is more or less cleared. Huge, huge huge thanks to runrin, Norainhere, Altair and everyone else who chipped in with this effort throughout the past several years! It feels great to be done with, and we'll definitely never fall behind again.

New Tags Added Soon...

And with that project coming to a close, we'll be going back through current and previous suggestions for new tags in the next several weeks. Expect to see updates here (and on the site, obviously) whenever new tags are added.

All tags are clickable (here). Observant folks may notice that the POV tag is a splinter from the Self-insert tag to differentiate from a couple different phenomenons that tag was covering before. Will add further differentiation to their descriptions in the future.

Broken Pages Fixed

Approximately 80 images on the site were broken during (or slightly after) the 2013 site migration. Those pages have now been fixed. Thanks so much to Metro for the very helpful report on this!
