Everyone's comments made me feel better about my /ragequit feelings.

Damn, this pain is too real. Something similar happened to me, once. It's such a huge betrayal.
Ruki really should've punched her in the face. Going back and reading previous chapters, there are hints that Sacchan isn't very invested in Ruki - she doesn't seem attracted to her and makes excuses for herself for detachment with "Ruki deserves someone better" and crap. I doubt that Sacchan finds Remi any more physically attractive than Ruki. But she definitely knows how Remi is, and I wonder if the immoral part of Remi is what Sacchan is attracted to. And Remi, being the World Wide Bitch that she is, finds Sacchan's weakness, attacks her ego and gets her defenseless so she'd submit to the sex. So much rage at Remi right now.

Unpopular opinion: I actually like this manga, mostly because it's one of those darker ones with a somewhat realistic character dynamic. Of course some parts are overblown to make drama -- since this is drawn for entertainment, and what's yuri without drama? -- but it actually makes me curious as to what will happen in the end. I want to know how each character sorts through their problems, and how their friendships change because of it, and I know it's a whole mess at the moment, but I'm hoping it will sort out. I dunno, I have faith in this series for an odd reason, and if it disappoints, well, that's too bad.

Also, Remi's characterization is the most fascinating to me, as is Sacchi's. There's always there LUG (lesbian until grad.) girls out there, as well as the "I sleep with anyone" hedonistic individuals, so it's a wide representation of how insane people can actually be. That's my take on it, at least. I look forward to future chapter releases.

Quite a thread we got here. @_@
Gonna skip all those comments for now.
Don't want to see some spoilers before reading this. Yes, I haven't read even chapter 1 yet
Well then, hopefully I won't get too much into this. Or else, I might bug a certain someone that made me read this now

Shuninta is lazy as fook. Remi is just one rolling plot device after another, she has no back story, no character development, and literally serves no other purpose. We learn that Ruki is a codependent doormat and that Sacchan is straight not through character development, but through the non-entity that is Remi. I agree with the previous poster, either Remi is a succubus or Shuninta really fooked off with this title. LAZY ASS WRITING!!!

I could appreciate it more if it wasn't for Remi. Her character is one that seems far too convenient for creating this drama. The rest I can at least somewhat get behind, and I do like mangas with tragedy and the like, but Remi is too much.

hating on remi just because she's the one who's openly sexual with everyone(because they didn't have a choice with having sex with remi amirite) and ignoring the fact that she's the only one making literally 90% of the character development happen in this series AND the fact that nobody understands what's happening in ch12

yeah okay i will fight all of you to death to defend best girl remi(╯°□°)ຈ҉̛༽̨҉҉ノ̨

That is exactly my point. She is a plot device and serves no other purpose. It is lazy writing. I am disappointed. :/

A character pushing other characters through character development is fine. Even as a mere plot device. Remi herself just isn't a decent human being by any account. Perhaps she could have friendly intentions (who really knows, you will just have to have blind faith on this), but her actions and words are very undoubtedly hurtful toward the people around her. We see no remorse in her during any encounter she has with Ruki. If anything good comes out of her antics, it is only collateral/accidental and not because she wants things to work out between others.

Her openness about sexuality is a good thing. Her callousness and willingness to manipulate people for her own pleasure is not a good thing.

Haha! I would say it is very much not foreign to most people! After all, most humans will eventually (try to) reproduce with one or more other humans.

I JUST WANT MAASA WITH REMI OH MY GOD CAN'T WE JUST HAVE THE MOST MATURE AND THE MOST EXPERIENCED ADULTS TOGETHER UGH.

clearly frustrated

Like can you just imagine Maasa working so hard at her desk and Remi being the lewd woman she is trying to get her attention for some intimacy? ~

You and me both, that would be amazing, it would be hot, since the first chapter Maasa appear i shipp them, i don't really care much about the other couples, maybe Fue and Asuna a little, i like them

YES oh my god I immediately fell in love with the two. Just imagine the character dynamic between them!! Maasa probably wouldn't even give two shits if Remi slept with others. But when the two do end up smashing, it's all hot and sexy. Most of all it would definitely be an amusing ass couple holy shit.

We would definitely see something different if the two dated, though. Irritated Maasa being bugged by yearning Remi. And that's IF Remi is loyal to Maasa and IF Maasa has feelings for Remi. (Which I prefer of course)

Ugh. Headcanon.

All this overblown rage towards Remi seems a tad misplaced, would you blame a wolf surrounded by sheep? She is not a very nice person to be sure, but hey at least she is proactive and knows exactly what she wants, not afraid to take it either. When everyone else is a codependent, indecisive idiot (not including Maasa of course. I agree that that coupling would probably be amazing in many ways), it is somewhat hard to get truly upset.

Heck I would rather focus my ire on Sachi at this point, some of you are making it out to be like she had no choice.

joined Aug 11, 2014

The thing that gets me is that Sachi doesn't even seem to care. Like, it doesn't even seem to register that she's hurting Ruki, or that Remi is a toxic pile of garbage who gets off on hurting people and justifies it by saying that everyone else sucks too. She just blithely says that she can't really judge her ex anymore, like she's completely forgotten how fucking awful she felt when she was with him.

Also, fuck Remi, on every level. If she was just a shitty, malicious person who actively enjoys ruining her friends lives and tries to drag everyone else down into the poisonous swamp of apathetic hedonism she lives in, I wouldn't really like her, but I'd be fine with her as a character in a larger cast. The thing that really disgusts me most, is that she's basically the main character. Even if she's not personally, directly involved in every single event, she's the one character with the most agency, the most influence, and acts as the trigger for basically every major point of character development. She hurts whoever she wants to hurt, fucks whoever she wants to fuck, and faces NO CONSEQUENCES. At all! She doesn't make enemies, she doesn't lose friends - christ, people don't even ARGUE with her. She always wins. Everyone is lonely and empty and heartbroken except her, who happily sits in the middle of it all, loving every minute, completely untouched by the slightest trace of trouble or unhappiness.

So fuck Remi. And fuck the author for making a cheap NTR porn fantasy and dressing it up like an angsty emotional drama. God, I'm so fucking butthurt over this, it's not even worth it.

Oh, please. I've known some very hedonistic, sleep-with-lots-of-people, kind of folks. And they're really nice people. Why? Because while they're open to plenty of sex with plenty of people, they don't deliberately fuck other people up in the process. Their sexuality is open, generous and giving. Remi is not like that, she's a selfish twisted bitch who gets off on seeing people she "likes" suffer.

Well, no, not blame . . . but if I were a shepherd I'd sure kill it. But Remi isn't a wolf; she doesn't need to pull this crap to live, and she has self-awareness. She can choose.
But if she gets to hide behind "it's just her nature" then where do you get off complaining about those of us whose nature it is to get enraged at vicious people?

She is not a very nice person to be sure, but hey at least she is proactive and knows exactly what she wants, not afraid to take it either.

So were Ted Bundy and Clifford Olson. I fail to see what's so wonderful about being decisive in the pursuit of nasty goals.

I wanted to tell you you're shit and your opinions are shit, but then I stopped and thought about it and Remi's not really the devil incarnate. I still think your reasoning is flawed, but, tis true, it's not like she forced anyone to have sex with her. I'd say she's probably chaotic neutral than anything else. She's just doing it for the lulz.

I suppose what gets me, is why are any of the others still friends with her? They don't seem to overly enjoy her company, except that most of them seem to have fucked her at one point or another. And Sachi - I can understand one indiscretion, but does she ever explain why she kept fucking her? And during all this she seems to have resisting making an effort to even see Ruki.

Man, Sachi's a piece of shit.

I've read the Chinese scans, and in my personal opinion, happy endings are bullshit when there's a clear lack of conscience or recognition of wrongs on multiple parties. It's very unsettling when a character overlooks the terrible things said and done to them just because the other person smiles and abstractly "returns their feelings." (Note: Sacchan just HAD to sex it up with Remi in order to figure this out? Really? Is that how things work nowadays?) It is also disturbing that "returning feelings" in this situation does not involve any form of apology or admittance that you've wronged someone you supposedly now "love." Also, the fact that Remi can still insert herself in between Ruki and Sacchan and make passes at them, despite implicitly knowing that the two have "resolved their feelings," just seriously grates on my nerves. It seems that no one has a brain in this story.

I don't care how good a mangaka's works usually are. Anyone is capable of writing a crappy story with frustratingly unrealistic character butchering at the end. Takemiya Jin's Fragments of Love comes to mind.

This, so much THIS.

this too, this isn't in any way "realistic", this is just terrible writing.

Honestly? if this was me in the situation i would do the actual realistic thing get on the "fuckthisshit train to nopeville" and just leave all these terrible people behind, i would find better friends and a better girlfriend and live my fucking life without this level of bullshit everywhere.

I do not hate her but seeing her methods I can only see her as a double-edge sword at best. I do not see her as someone who is trying to get others to see their flaws and hypocrisies. That is rather the side effect to her actions. There is something broken in her to be honest and she while she is openly sexual with others she is not open with everyone about that. Hate no but rather conflicted is the best word I can come up with to describe my feelings about Remi. I know others the story is badly written but I feel differently. Just like people who view others as caring and kind there are those who are on the opposite side of the coin and honestly I can't say either side of living is wrong or right. I look forward to the end.
