It's odd to see a woman call herself "ore" in a non-shounen or fantasy setting! But I like it. If I ever went to Japan to work/live, I'd probably be pressured into using "watashi" in most social contexts, but I honestly feel much more comfortable using "boku". (even if it might be a social faux pas)

Isn't it nice that japanese has so many pronouns that you can use to better express your gender? =w=
