In contrast to their existence as a yuri-manga trope, it’s not clear to me that “lesbian brothels” are actually much of a real thing in Japan (as opposed to sex workers who go both ways).

The only possible scenario i can see that could ever possibly get any real consideration would be if they both went and had a threesome or smth, to experience it together

I like how dynamic Mai’s appearance is throughout the series. It’s less her dyeing her hair or getting more confident as she ages and more of the little things. Such as in #42, when Mai complains about gaining weight while wearing a thick sweater. Then in the next chapter, a year later, she’s slimmed down and wears a loose dress shirt, noticeably more confident. It’s not a static change either, since Mai looses and gains weight a few times throughout the series. These details are a nice look into her personality through appearance alone and make Mai feel more endearing and real. I love it when artists do this.

Also, I know it’s a given but Mai looks ridiculously beautiful and sultry in Bedside, like holy hell, Mai and Emi are so lucky to have each other.

Right, I should have made it clear that pay-for-lesbian-sex services do exist. But current yuri manga would suggest that lesbian brothels are nearly as common as love hotels, if not indeed as convenience stores.

I dunno what you're trying to do, but I don't think it's working.

It looks like there's an actual mini series with these two that released last year. I stumbled on it on Amazon a bit ago. They're three fairly short volumes. It's about $10 or so for the three. Considering how often I reread this manga, I was more than happy to pay the price, and it was great getting to see more of these two.

Threw me off a bit cause they're oriented left to right.
