It was never tagged as Yuri on Dynasty in the first place, as far as I recall anyhow. I don't understand why you'd drop something that has enjoyable aspects, like for you the colors, only because there's no Yuri. Enjoy it for what it is, and ship the characters together if you want. A series doesn't have to be Yuri to be good and friendships can also be top tier I think.

Sure enough and I'm not saying people can't have preferences, but having to ONLY ever read Yuri or in other cases Yaoi has always seemed very limiting to me. It's very narrow in scope and it means you miss some genuinely great series. It's also often the type of mentality that very commonly gives Yuri and Yaoi fans a bad rep, because it's usually associated with the type of fans that demand Yuri/Yaoi from EVERY work, and the characters being friends is never good enough.

Maybe this person isn't like that, but I've seen enough of those type people for it bring up uncomfortable memories when I see someone saying they're going to drop a series because there's no Yuri/Yaoi in it. Again though, maybe it's just their preferences here and that's fine. I'm not saying anyone should think like I do, and I believe people should do what works for them and makes them happy. I'm simply sharing my views and how they differ, along with some of my personal experiences.

It's kind of weird to take offense to people dropping a series that's not to their taste. Uncomfortable memories? Really? People are allowed to not read what you read, for whatever reason they please.

Dropping something because it's not yuri also doesn't mean someone only reads yuri. It means that particular manga doesn't interest them if it's not. That's exactly where this one lands for me. There are plenty of interesting stories in the world, but this one doesn't have anything that appeals to me. It's about gals being pals, and that premise is not one I find engaging. If the draw of a manga is the interactions between its two leading characters, it usually needs to be romance to catch my attention (regardless of gender). Otherwise, I'd rather read something with an actual plot, beyond 'day to day life of schoolkids'.
