Why remove it? I understand the tagging system isn't supposed to be stupidly specific like a booru's, but like big breasts and futanari, dark skin seems like a fetish-esque element people might be looking for.

I would agree that 'tanned' would probably be a bit more accurate/sensitive than potentially making a race out to be a fetish. On the other hand, before that comment, I didn't even notice the issue for it to be a big deal.

Overall, this oneshot was kinda 2lewd4me but I guess the ending did try to be somewhat interesting. The implication was that the long-haired girl transferred to another school and went away, right? Hence the video for the two to share some memories. I was overall not very fond of the art, though.

I don't really care whether it has "Dark skin" tag or not. Personally i like it there, i like dark skin so it really helps me to find moar mangas with this tag so i'm glad for it.

about the story,, am I interpreted it wrong or this is angst?
I mean, it seems that they made that very video for keepsake 'cause one of them is moving out or transferring.
I'm a sucker for this kind of story...

Well calling Obama "tanned" is quite weird, but there've been worse things he's been called.
Regardless, the tag is in a way racist, but it is catering to the fetishistic desires of the audience. It's a bit akin to using "ebony" when wanting to find porn involving black people (using the politically incorrect term). It's also a fetish Japanese people have and it's been ported over to the West, for the most part.

I would say that it's a bit harder to classify this as a(aaaaa)ngst since there's no dialogue in between the many pages of them having fun. However that is not to say textless stuff can't be angst, it's just that there's no visible showing of internal struggle/anxiety in this as opposed to the stuff with angst.

Which is to say that it's up to the reader to interpret it in any way, right?
I just, automatically thought that was angst because of the couple last panels where the long-haired girl is being introduced in front of class and the short-haired one looking up the sky with a vacant look(in my imagination).
And then we have the title that cut midway through, it's like they want to say "just the two of us" but realize that they're no longer together (that's the translation though, I don't know the Japanese title).
No, I'm not saying to add an aaaaaangst tag on this. I'm just wondering if anyone else sees it the way I see it.

Pretty much open to interpretation, since nothing is really confirmed by the author other than what you can factually see.

I am quite confused how "Dark Skin" could ever be considered racist. All it is is describing a physical attribute in very plain terms. I don't see how anyone could reasonably get offended by it.

It's rather harmless yes, but it can be a small microaggression since well, light skin is just assumed default (and not tagged). That's not to say we should tag light skin since manga sure does love its light skin which will lead to silly amounts of tags.

I wasn't trying to sound racist at all.. I just said she had darker skin so I thought the tag should be there. Not that she's dark she's just tan.

I'm not sure how the sadness is "open to interpretation" since the tanned girl is crying on page 15. Granted, without the chapters and chapters of sadness (like Sasameki Koto), I'm not sure if the angst tag works, but it's a little bittersweet to me.

Tanned won't work, since a few things tagged with "Dark skin" describe characters who have dark skin because of their ethnicity. Flower Flower is one example.

I can see nothing offensive about the tag, and it won't get changed unless someone can show how it could reasonably be offensive.

Yah, i've read Flower Flower and i love it. The tags are for ppl so they can find what they're searching for. No one should be offended by it.

Have the opinion of a dark skinned (fairly) girl XD I actually don't care for the tag because truly white skin is the default nothing wrong with that it's always been that way and if it's racist that white is default than who cares because it's the artist' decision >.< so actually the dark skin tag is helpful and not really that offensive.

@About that tag, I agree when was said that someone can easily find it (even if it's a fetish or not). I don't think tagging it is a problem as well. I think 'tags' were created to accurate our chances to find something, that's why we have labels, hashtags, etc.
