It has been a constant struggle to keep people around to work on it, particularly translators. Still, the release schedule has been getting more consistent in the last half a year or so. The whole thing is translated and I'm basically just knocking out the edits as soon as I get new TLCs. It should be roughly a chapter every 1-2 months from now on.

Gretel didn't get cancelled, the mangaka was forcibly retired by apparently serious health issues. It was years before we heard anything from him, and since then he's only done a few illustrations in the past couple years.

In the afterword, Murata said it was their third lewd book. Are the other two yuri? Are they translated?
