Actually, phoenixir is pretty wrong on this most people do actually ship Hikari with Karen, if you look at fanartists on twitter, most put Hikari with Karen.

Also it's just wierd to say HiKaren is a rarepair, since literally the anime is their story, Maya and Claudine are just supporting cast members in the anime.

@Hauteclere OG Sun/Moon will go down as one of the best character development stories in Pokemon for me. It gave us Lillie x Moon and was emotionally packed with their journey though the islands and it's end.

^ I've ran into more people shiping all three or Mahiru with Hikari than I have people who ship Hikari and Karen though. When I input their names into pixiv they mostly come up together

^I thought the effect was called monochromatic. Monochrome doesn't necessarily mean "black and white" like it's usually known for, it literally means "One colour," shades of orange/yellow in this case.

I'm probably totally, completely, outrageously wrong though, so don't quote me on that.

^I think what you mean is Sepia? That's only yellow and brown tones. But I believe what @shadesan was getting at is not the color scheme, but rather the texture style with the filling dots. Almost like TV static or Benday Dots.
