They are literally the alpha couple of the series, even if the fandom is full of morons who'd rather drool over a couple of supporting characters you can't just fucking call this a rare pair

It's a rare pair because most of the fandom ships MaHiKaren or MaHikari. To be fair Mahiru did eat Karen in Re: Live and Hikari and Mahiru have great chemistry. That's in addition to how all three's chemistry with each other is when they're together.

Actually, phoenixir is pretty wrong on this most people do actually ship Hikari with Karen, if you look at fanartists on twitter, most put Hikari with Karen.
Also it's just wierd to say HiKaren is a rarepair, since literally the anime is their story, Maya and Claudine are just supporting cast members in the anime.

Karen is great. So is Hikari. Mahiru is awesome. I think the reason that both are shipped with her so often is because she's responsible for the two. She also happens to be in love with Karen and ships her with Hikari and herself.
