come for the porn, stay for the plot it actually kinda reminds me of the movie "Princess Mononoke" where Ashitaka decides to live in the iron village and the wolf girl goes back to the forest except now they're still able to see each other and in fact both their "worlds" are brought closer together and they're like the diplomats between their respective peoples, Vita can probably make return trips to the village to maintain the barrier even though it'd have to be like a monthly basis since the barrier looks to be stronger than before, cept i gotta say it's gonna be really fuckin sad when she comes back every month to see like all her old friends die of old age (probably like 20-25 years in our time) but still look over the next generation
I could bitch about how the area covered by the barrier is in no way sufficient to feed even a community that small never mind now domestic animals larger than poultry and so on and so on, but this narrative's strongly in the mythic tone where such trifles can be simply handwaved. (Actually all the pr0n aside the story isn't too far removed from any number of documented IRL "foundation myths" in theme and structure - Mira's probably been to the library again...)
