Seriously if every little thing is gonna bother people like this then it's probably best if they save a headache or two and just move on and not read.. It's a continuation story ffs.. If you've already hated the first one then I don't see the point of trying to get more angry.

But after the thing Saburouta did to promising plot in first volumes, I won't touch their works ever again.

The issue is that it's rather implausible that rumour would still be circulating in that form. Way back around the beginning of the original series, sure - the way Yuzu publicly broke the news about being "family" was just asking for wild conjecture - but after what, around a year? With multiple people who know better in position to spread word about the actual state of affairs and having no reason whatsoever not to?

Fo' realz? I'll take your word on that, kind of stopped paying attention to the internal chronology of the original series a long time ago. Even less plausible in that case.

I actually liked this first chapter. Wasn't what I expected the spin off to be. I thought it was gonna be like some 4-koma slice of life thing. I'm hoping the tone of the series stays like this since the first series had enough drama for a lifetime.

Since it's going the "season 2" style route, I kinda wish they saved the marriage scene for the end of this series. It's kinda weird that "s1" showed the future, but s2 is a direct continuation.

I'm personally crossing my fingers for proper Mei character development this time, but I'm keeping expectations low. More Harumin/Matsuri scenes would be great too.
