Interesting read though. I enjoyed it tackling the darker sides of one-sided crushes. Kinda sad it ended on a happy ending tbh, it was kind of unrealistic after the stuff that came before. Ah well, cute is good as well.

Why? Tags occasionally seem a little off. I don't see anything wrong with avoiding subject matter you don't like. I'd never avoid angst or drama but there is a bunch of tags on a lot of yuri I want nothing to do with.

Kind of getting sick of the same old formula childhood-friend-falls-in-love-thinks-it-is-one-sided-angst-angst-some-more-angst-stolen-kiss-and/or-anguished-declaration, and then puf! Turns out it was mutual all along. Bla.

As much as I love the childhood friend turned lover trope (and the happy ending to boot), I also can't help but feel this felt off.
Like if the artist planned for an ambiguous ending (or a bad one), but hastily made a good ending because those are better received.
Eh, happy ending. Can't really complain about that
Edit aww I just realized that they're holding hands in the highschool acceptance pic on the phone on the last page. Just had a reread and it's decent now. Nothing to write home about, but gets the job done

I'm not sure if it was done on purpose, but not giving much detail on the friend is an interesting narrative choice. Like the narrator just takes all that for granted and is only concerned with their relationship. Though you could probably rephrase that as "The weak characterization is the only thing that stood out to me."
On the upside, this manga prompted me to finally read through the artist's works, which was fun.

Kida Miyuki and sweet happy ending doesn't sit well with me..hmmm i might just used to her style of one-sided love and other one would be manipulative/controlling or showing less emotion..xDD

Yup, same tbh. I don't always do it, but especially if I'm already having a bad day or depressed, I tend to read stories to escape or lighten my mood. If it looks like there's a big chance it's gonna make things worse (or a chance it's the opposite and might not be as bad / depressing as it appears), I'll peek at the comments =P

Usually doesn't spoil the story.
