I've heard that supposedly in Japan, sicknesses are more severe, for whatever reason. Even just a basic cold can be hard on the body. Maybe it's the climate or the self isolation for thousands of years.

Can confirm. 36,5ºC is more or less the average skin temperature as far as I know. (Although inside your body this will vary a lot. For instance, your throat is slightly cooler than your bloodstream, which actually explains some really cool stuff about the influenza viruses).

Never heard about diseases being more severe in Japan, but maybe you're talking about how different populations of viruses and bacteria affect different parts of the world. For instance, in Brazil we get milder colds because HRSV and Rhinoviruses are more common than the more dangerous Influenza A viruses. All of these cause common cold or similar diseases.

I wasn't sure if they were saying "four" or "foxes". Anyway, the most likely explanation is uncanny valley effect. We know humans have ears. If we would not see them having ears it would be weird to us and cause distress. That is why when author do decided to not draw 2 pair of ears they cover it with hair so our brain just assumes they are here, even if they are actually not. They just think about reader's experience! (I think)

It's because they're allergic to rain and it rains all the time in Japan. Just watch/read any anime/manga--rain make them run in terror or take shelter like it's a biochemical attack. Moments in the rain will inevitable destroy their immune system and render them ill.

Not so sure—think Senri may just have the beginnings of a tickling at the back of the throat that Haru only now helped put a name to.

More seriously, this chapter (especially the opening and closing) suggests that Senri has some emotional opening up to do before it’ll be time to move on to marital sexy times. I think that business about Senri trusting her wife is the crucial point here.

And sure, Chiru is sweet and naive, but she’s always shown a willingness to try to learn new things, and, as Haru knows, Senri is just about as clueless about the physical side of a relationship.
