Thanks to that I love the anime series a lot more than the manga.
Of course that’s fine. I’m glad you like that one; I like it too. But I’m a comics person. I have nothing against anime; I like lots of it. But I study how comics work in things like page design, drawing style, pacing, etc.
A lot of people find stories with sound and movement inherently more immersive than without; I sometimes do and sometimes don’t. For things with a lot of important physical action scenes, or adaptations of bloated storylines that need to be streamlined, or even one with some ambiguous characters, anime can be better—voices can clarify characterization, action scenes have more impact, etc.
Bloom Into You just doesn’t strike me as being one of those which as a work of art would benefit greatly from being an anime. But like I said, I’m a comics person.
