My manga jargon is a little bit messed up. Why is there a tag, yaoi? I was associating these words (het, yaoi, yuri) with emotions involved. Clearly, the boys kissed out of pure accident. On the other hand, the treasurer voluntarily kissed the president. I am not an expert on this.

Was just commenting about how while my primary interest in coming here is yuri that I wouldn't drop a series if yaoi was in it. or boys love. or whatever it is. this seems like it could be fun.

Yuri = Girls love = Lesbian
Het is english and short for heterosexuality i.e. straight.

Technically only the first two are 'feelings' but they've always been equvilant to signifying sexuality when used as a descriptor. Two dudes kissing is still just as gay as two girls kissing no matter the intent, hence yaoi and yuri tags.

But that isn't what the yaoi tag means in Dynasty, though. Here, yaoi is used as the equivalent of yuri. And that's ok.

I could ramble on the difference between 少女愛 'shoujo ai' and ガールズラブ 'girls' love', but I doubt anyone cares xD

As I understand, in the States (Or I guess, in most English speaking nations?) "shounen ai" is used for non explicit homosexual male lovin'. However, in Japan, "yaoi" just sort of encompasses all homosexual male stuff, explicit or no. Over there (Again, if I'm understanding it right) "shounen ai" literally means what it translates into "boys' love" and it has pedophilic connotations, and isn't really used at all.
