Kanan's dry narration is very refreshing, and Mari's entire presence is, for lack of a better word, amazing.

And of course, compelling drama with nice bits of humor sprinkled between, what with Kumichou's amusing character expressions. I think it's been a while since I've read something and enjoyed it this much.

This was so amazing. I loved every bit of it. The angst was soul crushingly good, and it all felt worth it after that sweet happy end. Thanks so much for translating this gem. I'm definitely looking forward to more kanandia in the future.

The scanlation on this is wonderful, moreso than usual. Love the way Mari's speech was translated ("shiznit" and "its going to be lit" were my personal favorites.) And godamn this was some good angst. I love, love Kumichou's stuff.

Honestly, I really like the english translation of the title, at least when judging it on its own aesthetics. It has that kind of older queer person supporting younger queer people kinda vibe. Maybe I'm just reading too much into that though :p

Love it. Great characterization of Kanan, and gorgeous art, as always from Kumichou.

Mari's dialogue fits her perfectly, though I can't say I'd imagined her as so Southern. At a couple points Dia is a bit casual for my tastes - "it's a go" and... OK, maybe it was just that one. Anyway, keep up the good work, SAD!

As a southern girl, I for the life of me can't ever imagine Mari being southern. Maybe New York or Buffalo or somewhere else in Upstate.

That aside, this doujin's Kanan's way to processes things are top-notch.

Edit: my favorite parts are
- Kanan admitting she's done fucking up - that's in line with the canon
- Kanan running after Dia in her indoor shoes - that's YUUGE in Japan
- them crying together (17_68)
- Dia's self worth assessment (17_72) - again, canon!

This is like TMnR level work. So deep but so satisfying. The artwork is great too.

One thing KanaDia or DiaMari or KanaMari doujins is never introduce the other 3rd year as a possible love interest. It doesn't need to be done but aqours 3rd years are very close to each other so any pairing could be a possibility so for me it's hard to make a case for one pairing without looking at the other pairing option. I'll be so interested to find out what season 2 does with the 3rd years ;)
