Junna just pulled all the stops on her teasing.
It's surprising she just mentioned dating outright.

At this point everyone knows they are dating except from the girls themselves.

At this point I do wonder how aware are both of them about their feelings.
There are points where Hane looks like she fully aware of them, but then it seems like it mixes with the guilt of almost putting Junna on a t-shirt.
While Junna seems to think of Hane as her dearest friend, not touching upon actual romantic feelings.
It makes me wonder when did Junna's image of Hane started to change during the last year, because it's very clear she thought of her as a bother and someone to get rid of, her enemy as an evil general.

I looked around and I found that there is a "ne" reading for "子"

Zodiac & old-time words with 子 (ne)

子 (ne) is the 1st of the 十二支 (jūnishi) (Rat). 子年 (nedoshi)（ねどし） = Year of the Rat.
子の刻 (ne no koku)（ねのこく）: old time period around 11 p.m.–1 a.m.

So 花子 can still be read as はね "Hane"
