but by the nature of her past Meru and Remi freeing her of her sexual repression and then feeding into it constantly has probably made her more of a sex addict, they didn't practice restraint with her and now she can't have a normal relationship which I honestly think she wants, which is why she is so messed up after breaking up with Fue.
I still don't have any sympathy for her though. She's a cheating bitch in my eyes. v.v Also, her not wanting to shoulder Meru's burden any longer in such a time of need is actually an argument to prove how much of a selfish, bad friend she is. XD I guess I just can't stand people like that. I honestly hope she won't get back with Fue and ends up being alone. v.v
I feel like you missed the entire point of everything I just stated, but then again it all comes down to education and the difference in information had.
Or maybe simply just personal opinion? It's possible to completely understand something but not like it anyway. Not all arguements lead to compromises. Just because something is black, the other thing isn't necessarily white. I understand what Asuna is going through. I understand Meru's and Remi's roles in her development, too. Doesn't change the fact that Asuna cheated on Fue and isn't being a good friend for Meru. If understanding would always inevitably lead to agreement, we wouldn't have wars in this world. ;)
Wow, it's really odd to see how quickly opinions change here. So far it also seemed Masaa is a good person to me, but considering this manga is all about superstitious appearance and the truth behind it I'd advise to be careful with any judgements. We see a lot of not nice behavior (cheating, gluttony & porn), but Amano uses this to then turn you around by showing you what is behind it. Which makes it a really good work imo.
Btw, calling Asuna a nymphomaniac might be a little drastic (especially if you also want to imply promiscuity, i.e. "maximizing the number of partners"). Perhaps she has a higher sex drive than some (definitely higher than Fue), but whether it's manic or not is hard to tell so far. Take a look at http://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/the_feelings_we_all_must_endure_ch02#16 for example. Asuna tries, very politely, careful to instigate something and Fue immediately brushes her off. Asuna directly retreats. I think she does love Fue, but she's inexperienced with a real relationship (keep in mind all the girls more or less just entered adult life). She tries to do all for her beloved and not to bother her at all to the point of neglecting her own needs. Just like modern romance tales teach you to. Finally she kind of can't take it anymore and cheats. That doesn't make the act of cheating any better and it doesn't mean she "cheats because she loves Fue so much" (which does indeed sound like a bad porn script). No, she ultimately cheats because she strained herself too much. Stupid tactic. She was too afraid of confronting her girlfriend with her own needs. Sure, there might have been no solution at all (if Fue can't compromise, i.e. if they can't find a level of sex they are both comfortable with), but then they could have split up with a less messy cut.
I think this manga is all about that stuff. Things are not as black and white as they seem. People doing ugly things can actually be pitiful and easy to sympathize with, nobody is just an asshole out of pure spite.
Nice analysis. I hate how many people on this thread reduce Asuna to some disgusting cheater. I mean, I also hate cheaters and cheating on someone who loves you is definitely unforgivable to me, but like you said, this manga shows that things are not just black and white. Chapter 6 made it obvious she did care about Fueko and loved her, but she badly handled their issues. She should have confronted her girlfriend (or I don't know, have some fun with herself instead of cheating ? jk obviously, I'm conscious this is really different from actually having sex with someone haha).
Sachi is my favourite though and I don't care if people don't like her because "she got it easy"... Like what ? Being in an abusive relationship definitely is the opposite of getting it easy. Because, yes, the way her boyfriend used to treat her are signs that he was emotionally abusive to her. I've been in such a relationship and trust me, it can destroy you. Sacchan is actually really strong !
Anyway, this manga is just getting better and better. I used to hate Meru since she seemed like such an hypocrite to me, but chapter 7 made me feel sorry for her and I get where she's coming from. Girl sleeps around cause she needs love, and that's sad. I like how the focus is on each girl now instead of the main couple (while I do find Ruki and Sacchan adorable and ship them) ! I'm waiting for a chapter about Maasa or Fueko.
Should make this into anime. I love Maasa
This manga is becoming seinen xD

Thanks. I also think that Sacchan came out of the experience with her boyfriend stronger and learned to not deny her own needs & rights. I just hope that doesn't permanently harm her relationship with Ruki. As I said I think Ruki is making a similar mistake in some sense.
As for Maasa, I guess we will see that she's not just a rich girl who has it easy because of that (having a driver, and so on). The hints on her having to work a lot might foreshadow that she is under pressure from her family or her family's business on some way. At least that wouldn't surprise me as it's a common thing in manga (see Citrus, though I wouldn't claim both series have much in common ^^).

I dont know but this manga has done it.

Holy crap! I never even though of associating the personalities of the characters with the 7 deadly sins. Hmm, looks like the folks on /u/ did a really deep dive character analysis. Although this does bring up a really interesting way to look at each relationship and personal interactions. For example, if you think of each character as representing a deadly sin, will the story take the "how love conquerors all" approach or the "redemption" of lost souls approach. Either way, interesting take. Of course, we can only speculate and guess at this point.
Btw, I'm not familiar with /u/, is it a message board or something like irc?

I don't know who said it first, or if it even matters, but that was actually pointed out first here on Dee~ by RocKstar on 01/08/14
Is it just me? Or do the 7 main characters represent each of the 7 deadly sins? Hmmmm...
Then expounded by lildevilinhell the next day
I'm guessing this how I would categorize them... lol... Though honestly, some of them don't fit in the category to perfectly.
Lust - Asuna
Gluttony - Meru
Greed - Remi
Sloth - Fue
Wrath - Sacchan
Envy - Ruki
Pride - Maasa

Comparing the two, there's a switch bet. Sacchan and Remi
Woot! Keep the updates coming! XD
Btw, what does Maasa do/what's her major? has it been mentioned? the wall of monitors begs the question, computer science? communications? film or art?
on a side note, I kinda thought Maasa and Meru might make a pretty good couple. Maasa seems very disciplined and Meru definitely needs that.

I didn't mean it that way actually sorry XD
What I meant was I felt like what was commented on wasn't what I was thinking about mainly.
Personal opinions are about the best thing when trying to understand things.
I think even if people agreed on subjects we'd still have war >w>;; heheh

The Maasa/Meru pairing seems intereting, i like the best and worst character combination. Maasa/Fue pair is so compatible that it bores me :| it's like they have nothing to clash on about.
Ruki/Remi seems to be interesting than Saachan/Ruki, since it'll have a one sided feel on Remi's side but it'll be real love towards Ruki.
Fue gives off the same feeling as a panda. I like it a lot, especially with character having not much interest on having an intercourse. Too bad for Asuna though o.o she should really control that beast in her. Fue indeed loved Asuna, but the way the two expresses eachother's love for the the other seems to be too different. Asuna prefers to show it by making love while Fue seems to enjoy the silent peaceful moments like watching movies and simple skinships like holding hands.
I read the raw and I dont really like the saachan/ruki because they dont have a good relationship till the end. And remi is a bitch sleeping around with saachan this manga is full of drama

Not really surprising considering the author other works.

It's nice that you read the raw, but other people haven't yet. It would be best if you put spoiler tags on it @.@' so that other people won't be spoiled by your comment.
Added spoiler tags.
Edit: And added them again. Thanks @ the IRC anon who took the time to point out my mistake.

Very good manga. Amano sensei is the best!
14 is what it says on myanimelist
Yeah I hate the friendly zone with that secchan . She might end up staying with theo girl she had s with. I like her better even if she looks like a Hooker(or mayb she is) she Seems to care more for Ruki more than Secchan ever did. If she goes out with secchan and secchan turns out to be a het who falls for her best friend Ruki by all means the author better have a good explanation and support sources..because seriously a het doen't last that much with a lesbian no matter how much she loves her. There is always that Guy she will want to be with. Judging by my lesbian life and my lesbian friends...thus girls are worst to fall in love wih they like guys, no lesbian is changing that, like no Guy changes a lesbian lol.
thats funny saying, but i doubt its being used properly. infact what should be said is. no lesbian will turn a girl gay ,because shes already indulged in sexual interactions with opposite sex and thus technically she can not be gay, but if she had same sex relations and still pursues same sex and the opposite sex relations, children! That would mean she has now become bisexual. bisexual is someone who likes both types of sexs and pursues them both as a possible relationship possbility. now only thing i can see that changing, from a full lesbian, to a "bisexual". Is that getting a bisexual may be harder cause his/her possiblity of sex partners is bigger. unless u beleive in love at first sight and thats just usualy a person who is naive or young.
But this is my opinion just like that was yours.
Now ive only read 1st chapter but this seems difrent then most yuri clichés so i think this will be good as most stick to cliché as a safety belt (hollywood) cause if its cliché then it must have worked once hehe. But every once in awhile u get urself a little gem, that breaks free of this, and its just usualy a beautiful read or watch depending on the material in question, if done correctly. I can not say that this is one such gem yet, as its to soon to say, but i have a good feeling and thats always good :). Now for my pairing i hope to see is ruki x sacchan which i believe the manga will be centering around. my rating 4.5/5 beers so far (yeah i like rating things in beers it just makes it that much funner :p) and i dont like drama's normaly so must be interesting for me give this high rating so what u looking at comments for go read this if u havent already!

I'm enjoying this series, but I'm always expecting something really bad to happen with each new chapter. It's stressful reading.
Aw when Ruki and Fue ran together that was so adorable. Kinda remind me of my best friend and myself XD
so much feels for this chapter, which really showed their chemistry as a group, how they work together so well, balancing each other out (since they all represent the 7 deadly sins and all), how one's interaction is different to another yet kind of the same. . . and how it all began between Fue and Asuna, just like that, simply being themselves
I always kept expecting it to be one of the girls in the group. Ah well, I wonder where the story will go from here.
