This "mysteriously meeting someone who seems to know you" plotline makes me think of Watashi no Muchi na Watashi no Michi, which I found pretty disappointing. But I guess with Momono Moto just doing the art on this one, there's no reason to expect the plot will be similar to what she wrote before.

My guess is that this won't ever get as long as Citrus, and will end after two or three volume's worth. But then again, this is a quarterly magazine, so it won't take too many chapters to get to three years.

But the main difference is citrus chose the worst type of story to do a stupidly spread out release while this is just simply a bad idea citrus was the worst idea.

The miracle in question happened like, 20 chapters ago. Even the hate melted away, for the most part.

It's to be expected really. Citrus is quite popular so by sheer volume those who dislike it are going to be quite pervasive.

Hence emphasizing the ratings that it gets, too. It's the eighth highest rated yuri/shoujo-ai manga on MAL.

Which reminds me that MAL needs to get their shit together with the genres. Shoujo-ai needs to go away, the way they classify it makes no damn sense.

More seriously, it's funny how in many threads I find people bashing Citrus every occasions they get, some even coming back to the manga's thread swearing they would forget it forever several years before. I guess it's the manga you love to hate.

Ah, now I kind of regret my taunt, though. I blame the absence of new chapters. I shall wait patiently while thanking the translator!

I never did that though. It had potential that it thrown away and went the worse possible way. Even if the manga gets good after it in 20th chapter, it doesn't change the facts that (most of) those 19 before it were terrible. I know it is popular and scored high by a lot people. It doesn't make the series good for me. Everyone has different taste and ways to judge series. I read my fair share of shoujo manga, to know why exactly people love Citrus, despite it flaws. I used to read that kind of stuff with anticipation too. I just grow tired of it, so cheap tricks like that doesn't work on me anymore.

I agree bashing it just because it is popular thing to do is pretty stupid/immature thing to do. I on the other hand simple think series went down hill really quick, really fast, but I'm not going out of my way to announce it to everyone. That being said I dislike when in this and similar cases, people who like it, simply assume the person in question hates it because it is popular thing to do and not because they actually have reasons to hate it.

EDIT/ Sign, again mode wrote when I was typing. I was going to suggest continuation of this topic in Citrus thread if the need will arise though.
