^ hinata0604 - I would never try to make money off someone else's work but I don't see a problem translating something even if the author says that - because without translation it denies the same freedom to enjoy it to the rest of the world who don't speak the language.
And I don't think even the author has a right to say 'only for Japanese people'.
And if you want to go on a purely legal basis, they have no copyright since they don't own Eli or Nozomi.
I think most of the time you should try to respect the creators wishes though- like if the Japanese original was put on another site and they expressly asked them to remove it, they probably should?
Its a bit of a grey area - I think all doujin makers accept that their stuff is gonna be scanned and put online. They make their money selling the physical copies at comicon's /in shops etc. It is just part of the way it is, and as far as I know most are not going to worry or complain about it - especially with doujins / fan works, when they also have no legal right to use said material and only can because the copyright owners all unofficially agree to let them.
