Stalker

The author of this oneshot is going to have a new serialization on Dengeki and an oneshot in Eclair Blanche.
I'm not particularly impressed by this story but I hope his/her next works are good.

Was there a link to the translators site somewhere? TL notes really should be put on the last page not on your site though.. no matter how much there is.. If it's on your site what happens in 10 years time when the manga is all over the net and your TL group long gone?

Anyone know what the crane and vase things meant?

I actually believed she was a cat...at first.

It was included with the download, so you can still get it there by downloading it, but its in pdf form so it doesn't show up on the website. They're going to replace it with a jpeg/png version for upload, but for now it won't show.

Nevermind that, new version with credits is up.

It doesn't have much substance, but it was cute. Just the way I like it!

The mention of the vase is probably a reference to a common scam where "religious" organizations trick people into buying overpriced junk for its supposed spiritual value.

Well . . . you've got this crybaby kid so pathetically starved for affection and attention that she stalks someone for weeks and then pretends, badly, to be a cat just to get to talk to them a bit and doesn't even mind that she's getting blown off most of the time. And then you've got this other person who is deadpan and unemotional from beginning to end. And the finish is just a minor reveal, it has no emotional significance; the two still have no real connection.

So, all in all, lots of emptiness candidates there.

Pity. Had a number of things going into it that I could really sign off on. Cats. One cool lead. Nice art. Then the other lead turned out to be just unlikable.

In the TL notes - An elderly couple helps out a crane that later turns out to be a crane ?

Was it not in crane form to start with or is this a typo.

It is a crane that turns into a girl, then turns back into a crane and leaves.

Even though it was kind of cute, It annoys me that this is once again such a completely inconsequential story.

I kinda expected it because it didn't have a supernatural tag... it would be nice to put false tags to bait us so that we don't see the obvious comming.

But then it would be rather disappointing for people actively searching for those tags.

My best guess about the vase was; since she was under the assumption that she was being stalked, she was speaking about the practice of putting a vase on the student's desk to indicate they have died. Perhaps indicating that she would be killed by her stalker at some point?
