Ouch. I'm lucky I read this before Yukemuri (I got halfway through it before realizing it was the same author as The Feelings We All Must Endure).
That's what I really love about Amano's work, though. There's always a genuine feeling of suspense while reading one of her stories because you never know whether it'll be something wonderful and heartwarming or unbearably sad or something completely different.

i dunno i don´t hate dark stuff they re interesting some times but i hate when the character dont have respect for themselves dont have realistic reactions you know like staying with someone who cheat on you for months while you work hard on school and stuffs openly admit it and when the story only tries to makeyou feel bad (this time they made it tho) i dunno man i really wanted to read all the work of amano but now that i know that is like a coin toss maybe i will pas with this author what i have to do man please tell me
but i hate when the character dont have respect for themselves
Uh that's worded a bit harshly, more like, they don't realise they deserve better. That's a frequent mentality when you're in an abusive relationship I think? Like, iirc, it kinda showed most signs of an abusive relationship, including when the bf was like so? And didn't show remorse/victim blamed her or something

Altho it's dark and dramatic, sometimes bittersweet, I appreciate Shuninta doing these, she's exploring and furthering her writing as an author, rather than just casual, not too dramatic hentai storylines (they're good, porn-ish/nsfw-related storylines tho). On that note, don't read Philosophia, it's pretty dark too. The rest you should be good with.

Like Faust said, just stay away from Philosophia. It's even gloomier than The Feeling We All Must Endure.
If you want something more upbeat from Amano, I suggest taking a look at Sweet Guilty Love Bites. I also recommend Ayame 14, which is a more lighthearted and comedic series of hers.

well i have to disagre i think if someone openly cheated on you whitout showing any sing of regret and has enough sinism to suggest to coninue and you agree you don t have enough self respect i believe in second chances but only i the person shows regret for doing it if not it s clear that this person dont deserves your time
aside form that i have to admit the writing is not bad at all the characters are kind of complex/interesting and fun to read the storytelling is good in general maybe i overdid it cuz the frist thing i read from amano was the structural formula of first love then i read yukemuri santcruary so i thought the manga was leading to that kind of end then the final chapters take me by surprise thank for the advide im reading the rest of shunita s work and maybe i give a try to philosophia just maybe
thank you Nidienne and Faust you help me a lot i really love the dinasty comunity everyone here are pretty cool is too bad that the res no notification when someone coment one of your post
Finally got around to reading this and I gotta say, I feel so badly for Ruki. Maybe it's because she's the character that most people can self-insert with, but man.. seeing her getting cucked by Remi broke my innocent yuri-loving heart. I really enjoyed this manga for the most part other than the fact that Shuninta really stressed the 'Remi-is-a-bad-person-and-will-steal-your-girlfriend' trope. There's never really an explanation to her character other than the fact that she does what she wants when she wants.
Overall this was a good manga, but I can see why people would dislike it. A lot of people who mostly read lighthearted yuri probably won't like it that much. It took me a bit to get accustomed to the serious tone. The way (most of) the characters were depicted was really nice and thought-out.

I'm with you there. I mean, i get that some people are like Ruki exist, but at the beginning of the story she was portrayed as a girl who would never be someone else's doormat and in the end, Sachi just shit all over her and got away with being a lying bitch. Neither her nor Remi got their comeuppance for being awful persons, which is particularly bad since the author made a big deal about Sachi's ex getting exactly what he deserved for behaving like an asshole early on. I still liked the story, but i wouldn't say that it has a decent conclusion.

I thought it was interesting, the way it related to the author's inspiration for them
Ruki being 'Pride', had nothing left of it, and was completely at Sachi's mercy
And Sachi was Wrath. She was being abused by the boyfriend and basically stepped all over by him, but she also became someone sort of ruthless, doesn't she?

I guess thats my main issue with the ending. It makes sense and its an interesting way to look at the whole thing if you saw the themes the author intended for each character. But it doesn't make any sense in a realistic way, which is something the author said that she was trying to portray as well. For example, it didn't made sense to cheat on Ruki if she intended on staying with her at the end. All signs were pointing to that, but in the end she just says that she's awful and she wants to stay with her. I think if she just came out and said to Ruki that she wasn't interested in her in a romantic way but they could still fuck whenever Ruki wanted would've been a more fitting ending to their relationship imo, since it completes Sachi's transformation into the scumbag her boyfriend was. Like i said, i still liked the series, but the ending and the main couple's fate felt rushed and just so unrealistic to me.
Ikr, i didn't really get it either
And tbh, it's been a while since ive read it, ill have to reread it again one day
I didnt get the point of Remia's character tbh, she just flirted with ppl and low key fucked Ruki and Sachi
Idk but tbh, she sounds like a pretty shit friend. The first time with Ruki, ight, why not. With Sachi tho, that was just really shitty of her?
Anyways I dont remember specific enough details, that was just an impression i was left it, that i still have now, ill have to reread it
Well, the ending makes sense. Sacchan and Ruki's relationship was built on a misunderstanding. A misconception about their own personality. Ruki thought she needed to protect Sacchan, but it was only her pride talking. And she clings to their relationship, even though she knows Sacchan cheated, because of her pride. And Sacchan had some anger in her she hadn't let out, after breaking up with her ex.
But all this crumbles because Remi sees through their lies. She didn't force Sacchan to sleep with her. She just offered. Sacchan took the opportunity to see the other side and realized she felt actually at ease being the one cheating and hurting others. Yes, Sacchan is awful. But she didn't force Ruki to be in love with her. Ruki can leave anytime.
I see the scene of their "last date" as a reset of their relationship. Like this.

That's cool :OO
I'll definitely have to reread it, with at least that in mind
Yeah, first and last time I read this was two years ago... I REALLY HATED IT, 'cause I felt so sorry for Ruki and hated the lusty bitches Remi and Sacchan (I felt infuriated by the ending, hated her lots lmao) and such. I now realize that I actually didn't understand this manga at all... maybe two years worth of experience made me see this manga in a new light, now I feel I understand it a lot better, I'm sorry for being such a hater before xD. I still feel bad for Ruki, though, but she got her happy ending! Sacchan did bad things but you can't blame someone for not loving you! I couldn't understand that they were never actually going out... I shipped them too hard I turned into hater.

I'm confused. They weren't technically dating until the end right? So Sacchi didn't actually cheat on Ruki. Sacchi said she wanted to see what it felt like to be the one cheating, but she technically wasn't. Did she think of it as some form of cheating since she was aware of Ruki's feelings and was going behind her back with Remi? I fucking hated Remi because she kinda warped Sacchi into a crueler person. At least that made her realize that she loved Ruki so happy ending. I just hope that Ruki doesn't get fucked over and Sacchi actually cheats on her.
I fucking hated Remi because she kinda warped Sacchi
It's unfair to blame Remi for Sacchi's dickery. She did what she did out of her own free will, at no point Remi made her do anything.

You have a point, but still Remi egged her on to go down that path. She seems like she's good at doing that.
It doesn't seem like Sacchi actually cheated.

Agreed, the point being that Sacchi's still the one who chose to act so. Repeatedly.

Maybe, I don't remember how clear it was whether or not they were dating. Still, Sacchi's intention was explicitly to betray Ruki's trust, and that's exactly how Ruki felt about it.

Remi plays the devilish tempter role in the story: she leads people into temptation, but they choose whether to resist or to give in. Blaming Remi for Sacchi's intentional infidelity is like blaming Satan for your own crimes: sounds legit to a guilty mind, but is total bollocks to an impartial observer.

I still don't consider it infidelity. Just kind of betrayal of Ruki's feelings, but not cheating. Though at least in the end after doing this, she realized she loved Ruki which I guess you could look at it like she changed for the better.

I still don't consider it infidelity. Just kind of betrayal of Ruki's feelings because she intentionally was seeing Remi behind Ruki's back, but not cheating. If anything, she took it as an opportunity to see how it felt to hurt someone else. Though at least in the end after doing this, she realized she loved Ruki which I guess you could look at it like she changed for the better.

You can argue so, however her intention was explicitly to cheat on Ruki. There's little merit in that she didn't manage to.

So seeing someone behind your back and having sex with them doesn't count as cheating, "just" betraying your feelings? And even if we assume it isn't cheating, so it is totally ok to "just" take a opportunity to see how it feels to hurt someone's else and betray them? She purely, out of her own curiosity, wanted to see how it feels to cheat on someone, because that was what her boyfriend did to her. And the scariest part was that it turned out, she enjoyed it and realized she is actually much colder and cruel than she is. And it wasn't even certain that that experience would change her feelings toward Ruki. She might as well felt shitty after doing it and choose to break up with her instead out of guilt. Sure, it made her realized she doesn't need protection of someone else as she thought before, and instead she could be the strong one to protect someone and then when driving, she saw how helpless Ruki was and felt being together might not be bad, but that hardly justify what she did. If I was in Ruki's shoes, I'd not date her, because I wouldn't be able to trust her fully after it. Sacchan was lucky Ruki was so deeply and helplessly in love with her, so as long as she would date Ruki, Ruki was ok with what she did. It feels like you are trying to deny that what Sacchan did was terrible in order to get a perfect, happy ending.
