The problem here is that Mimika is fixating on characteristics of Yuzumori that are largely exclusive to children (e.g. obsession over her age and "smallness"). This creates the implication that if Yuzumori were to mature and lose those qualities, she would no longer be attractive to Mimika.

That's where the information provided thus far in the text points. However it's still very early in the story so there's a chance to flesh out their relationship and turn the story down a slightly less pedo-riffic route.

...Or a more pedo-riffic one. That's entirely possible.

Oh, I thought of it more as Yuzumori just being a really pretty girl, the way she's portrayed.
I saw the 'characteristics' she's focusing on not particularly because they're child-like, but because they're hers/Yuzumori's. It could be that its specifically because she's a child, tho I saw it more as it being specifically being Yuzumori's traits. Idk if im clear or not about this ^^

While the MC acts fairly creepy, this isn't much different to Hoshikawa Ginza District 4, actually there's more of an age gap in Hoshikawa, it's 6-7 years (Mimika is 16-17, Yuzumori is 9-10) on this one, can't remember if you find out the ages for the characters in Hoshikawa all I know is that, there's a wider gap in it.
They've not done anything other than hold hands so far, and doubt we'll see anything more than kissing, which might happen only after a time skip, if this manga is gonna go that far.
