Considering how her character is portrayed, Sato probably idolizes Shio so much she can't even beging to think of having a sexual relationship with her; or thinks doing so would taint her, ruining her "Happy Sugar Life" (this second one would be more plausible if Sato was indeed abused by her aunt).

Also, I have to say I love how Sato handles her problems (or better say, the obstacles between her and her happiness). While in a regular manga you're thinking "Oh, God! They're going to rape her!", here you're like "Oh, God! She's going to kill them!"

Fairly sure she didn't. Interesting thing about Sato is that she seems dangerous and kinda unhinged but we've never seen her kill anyone. And it seems she generally doesn't resort to violence unless pressured (re: how she dealt with the manager woman and creepy teacher)

Nope. Purely done for the dramatic reveal. I would have liked it if his death was shown, and how she got from point A (his house...) to point B (dumping part of his remains in a river)...and for her to have more fun with it!

Imagine:
If I was her, I would have played along long enough to lure him into neutral territory (a hot spring), under the guise of a lover's get away and then drown him. Then probably smashed the side of his head in to look like he slipped and hit his head on the rocks (or vise versa, which ever is the quietest, I mean, you are at a hot spring, wouldn't want to disturb the other patreons). If she plays devoted/loving girlfriend in front of everyone and he dies, authorities can chalk it up as an accidental. Why would they suspect a couple so in love to suspect anything otherwise? And bouns: no body to clean up! I mean, people have accidentally killed themselves in dumber ways I'm sure.

Though, she isn't great with keeping her emotions in check...

We start out in the midst of a bizarre and macabre scenario, with two characters who treat it like a happy every-day life. There are three immediate questions: How did things come to be this way? What could drive people into such a position? Who are these people?

As is traditional for in media res narratives, the author answers these questions while developing the situation as it moves forward. He answers them one-by-one, in reverse order. First we come to know what drives Satou and how she behaves. Then we see signs of Shio's abnormalities as well. Meanwhile, there are brief hints as to what came before, bits of the characters' pasts, but not much as to an explanation of the situation at the story's outset.

This leaves me curious: will the manga end when we find out how Shio and Satou came to be together, or will the narrative transition to a different structure?

Overall I have to say the one shot has better pacing and is a better Yuri manga considering it focus more time on the two relationship. Shio's devoting feeling in particular

The original Sato sure was obsessed with body fat perfecentage. It makes you wonder if she has a reason to be able to judge this so easily. And, while they're not technically the same character, having the proposition she's not able to feel anything put together so many times so close together really puts in perspective just how screwed up in the head Sato is.

I think it's a power thing: he's utterly terrified of adult women due to what the manager did to him, but young girls are utterly powerless and don't present a threat. Thanks to Onii-san's plastering her face everywhere - and her being missing implying an even higher degree of powerlessness - Shio becomes an outlet for this urge. It's possible she's the first time he felt anything for a girl her age, but, without therapy, some sort of screwed up outcome was inevitable.

She seemed more like the generic Yandere type in the oneshot version though while in the main series she is a new type of yandere character ;3
