Wow, some of these comments reminds me of those over-zealous yaoi fanboys that think that yaoi is the end all and be all of Manga and Anime. I honestly thought the Yuri fandom was better this and above that bull crap. So, why don't you form an opinion on the Index/Railgun series based on what they are, rather than putting on blinders of preconceived notions, and getting all bent out of shape just because something isn't Yuri, or what you consider the "right kind" of Yuri.

Firstly, you never kill a loli character. Never ever. Nope. It's not matter whether she is a clone. Or whether the killer has special background and will make it up on his crime in the end. No. Simply just no.

Secondly, frankly if the author i so desperate to put his insert into a spin-off series, despite the story has little to do with said character. Then it was a clear case of Gary Tsu without the need of further debate.

And thirdly, most importantly. The superpower of being able to negate other people superpower? This sort of broken power should only be given to a super bad boss, so it will be interesting for audiences to see how he will be beaten up at the end. Not giving it to the main hero and try to come up with excuses on "oh, it's not as powerful as you thought". Every MC wear plot armor for God's sake, and you gives him a super weapon that can defeat every big boss right off the bat? So poorly written

Since when not being canon mattered? There are 100s of ships on this site that are not canon. Whole Love Live! cast for example. However, it never stopped people from shipping so why the hell do I keep seeing same sort of argument on every Hibike thread?

Well, I got curious if Fate is indeed a guy or not and had a look at the pixiv post, according to google translate those are the tags:

The image title is 潜入捜査 = Deep cover operation, from the artist commentary it seens they're both disguised to arrest a suspect with Nanoha acting as a decoy and that Fate will be properly rewarded after the mission, since in A's those twin cat girls used magic to look like Nanoha and Fate and in Vivid Arf uses magic to look like a kid, I think we can assume Fate is using magic to reduce her breasts or look like a guy.

^ In what way? Mana has read hair - Reginas is blond but really long - and personality wise Mana is a bit like Love I guess, but Setsuna isn't like Regina at all.

Though both pairings are equally great :) Two of the best cures I think - and maybe the best two dark side characters who become good.

Edit -

Now that I think about it the pairings are similar - how Regina and Setsuna came to mean so much to Mana and love and how hard they fought for them - so they have a similar 'feel'.
