Well, I'll be the first to comment… Somebody should really pick this series back up. It's pretty good, but from what I remember, Zefiberyl stopped scanlating because of some countries laws about having lolicon manga. It's just too bad.

We planned to pick it up at some point. Just got too busy with our other series. We have some work done on cleaning but that's about it. Maybe if we get more help or after finishing some other projects we'll go for it.

I really quite liked this series. I hope it gets picked up again soon...well off to reread it.

Yay it's finally being worked on again ?! Thanks Binbou Scanlations :) This was a real favourite of mine.

Chapter 27 has the best yuri kissing scene in existence imo, and it's often very funny and has good characters.

I wish more comic manga would learn a lesson from choir - that just because you are mostly a comedy manga dosn't mean you can't have a proper relationship develop and reach fruition - including a long make out scene! Not every strip has to be comedy - and having some serious yuri in there wont break your manga!

I keep wanting to point that rant out to authors of mangas like Shinozaki san - where it seems they are afraid to really develop things beyond the comedy.

I have the 3 tanks so I kinda know what's left in vol 3 but my Japanese isn't good enough to read much of the text - and so I'm super looking forward to knowing what they say in the rest :)

Glad it got picked up by another translator, a decent series for sure, and I have to agree with elevown definitely one of the best makeout scenes ive seen drawn...I like how the relationship develops like a side story but they keep the yuri appeal thru the series while still managing a good pace and fun story

Holy crap never though I'd see new chapters of this on here. Fantastic to see it back really enjoyed it before it was dropped.

Is this really an update? This is one of the series which got me interested in the yuri genre! I am so glad you guys decided to pick it back up!

One of my first, if not the first yuri manga I read back back in the day. So glad someone picked it up !! I am going to reread it from the beginning

Na- the translations stopped like 1 or 2 chapters off the end of the second volume out of 3.

The original group that did the first 28 chapters, Zefiberyl Translations, if i remember, had to leave it there because it gets a bit more loli from there on - (not by a lot imo - nothing explicit) and the laws in their country are very strict and they couldn't risk working on it - something like that.

Basically this. Zefiris is German, and Germany takes a dim legal view of what they consider child pornography. Quite apart from that, she herself despises loli, and no one can expect scanlators to put forth time and effort on things they dislike.

Personally I'm glad to see someone continuing Choir. I think there are people who think working on four-panels is easy, and from an editing standpoint perhaps, but they tend to be packed with tons of obscure and difficult cultural and old-school otaku references, puns and wordplay that are troublesome to translate, and so on. That's certainly how I remember working on Choir. It taught me a lot about both Japan and scanlation, and I'll always have a great affection for it.

Glad to be doing it. I do agree that translating parts of this is almost like pulling teeth...but hey, can't say I'm not enjoying it.
