It might be irrelevant to you, but they do live in a society, and that society is not going to take "oh it's fine, we knew one another in our past lives" as seriously as they do.
Actually, it's pretty funny that Ooma takes it more seriously than you do, haha. She cares about how it looks for Riri to be involved with her.
