MagiRevo? No incest I can recall. Watatabe? None. KimiShinu? None. Helpless Saint? None. AriOto? None. Watanare? teased slightly, but nothing more yet, in a very comedic work. Etc.

I mean, the same way she is using a few examples to prove her point, you are doing the same. Incest is prevalent in yuri, not all yuri have it, but it’s enough to associate them (now, if you see it as something negative obviously you will deny it, for some is positive and will happy accept it) if you read the comments, every time a sister appears the “please be siscon” comment is there!
Again, depending on whether you see it as something positive or negative it will make you see it this way “no, it’s not that common” or this way “yes, it is common”

This is a manga issue, not a yuri issue. I don't know why people pretend this hasn't been the case across manga generally for years. This is not specific or unique to yuri series. Siscon stuff is all over non-yuri manga. Just like brocon stuff is too. Whenever someone specifically calls out yuri for this stuff I really wonder. Most non anime friends growing up knew through casual interactions with anime and manga that a sibling showing up in a series could quickly get weird (which is also an exaggeration anyway). They didn't learn that behavior because of the non existent yuri anime at the time.

We are talking about yuri (and we are in a yuri forum) that is why the topic is Yuri, no one denied it being a anime or manga “problem”. I don’t think is a problem and I didn’t “called out” yuri either.
My comment didn’t put any moral judgement on the topic. Just saying that the same way you can give non-incest examples, you can give incest examples. The “it’s common” and “its not common” will depend if you like it or not. I do think is prevalent, never said it’s a problem and never said it was bad.

There are more works without incest than there are works with incest, and if we're talking Yuri you'd have a far easier time making a list of ongoing works with incest because it would so much shorter. Anyone that is upset about "All Yuri are incest" have a ton of works to read that aren't incest, but they're instead focusing all of their attention on the small handful that are to push a biased narrative focused on something that is simply not true.

Yeah but my point is not that, I think is obvious not all yuri is incest lol I am sure not even the person who made the comment seriously think that. I am pretty sure it was a exaggeration.
Either way MY point is that, when you don’t like a trope, you want to show it’s not common and give multiple examples to prove that, but when you like a trope and want to show its common you give multiple examples to prove it. The whole argument doesn’t make sense, either side can prove their point. It was a obvious exaggeration but I just thought the negative response was funny because for a yuri fan that likes incest it a) it's a good thing or b) “I wish this was true”

I don't know if it's an exaggeration or not. As I've seen so many posts on social media fishing for likes from bots and people that don't actually read manga or watch anime, posts that are saying things like "All Japanese media has incest" and get 50k likes, along with maintaining an agenda against Japanese media.

Also I think I'm low-balling it when I say 80% of Yuri uploads on Dynasty this year aren't incest focused, so I don't think both sides are on equal footing here. Anyways...we're way off topic and will probably be bonked by mods at this rate, so I'll leave it there.

No

I like incest and think it's rare in yuri, because it is. It's more the people who don't like it who will be hypersensitive and exaggerate its prevalence, because people are wired to focus on negatives.

I think it depend on how you see it, if you have 600 manga and 100 are incest, its big but little if this makes sense?
If you mix incest with pseudo incest you have more, series with siscon characters in my opinion also fit the general incest trope. Without mentioning vn and popular ships.
I also like incest and I think yuri doesn’t lack it.
For example I have seen people say that Villainesses stories have become a subgenre in yuri, I don’t really see how you cannot say the same about Incest when there is more than Villainess

Maybe this is just a side-effect of the series going on for too long, me forgetting stuff and not reading novels/watching anime or whatever... but I don't particularly care about Lily :P It seemed very obvious from the beginning she has no chance, it was always a very weird character and that double personality thing is just one of many stupid twists that this manga likes to pull, and I don't think most of them result in an actually good story.

I think I would prefer if she actually just betrayed her friends out of jealousy straight up, without any multi-personality bullshit. A naturally complex character would be more satisfying than one which literally has a magical excuse for her "dark side", it feels very ham-fisted.

The point of the multiple personalities isn't an excuse for her "dark side" The purpose is to show how deplorable Salas is, the way he uses and manipulates people mercilessly, torturing and brainwashing people. Even his own child. It's important to show how absolutely disastrous it will be if he actually ends up with power.

I don't think you have anything to apologize for. Sometimes conversation happens awkwardly and that's part of human interaction haha

Doesn't matter what the purpose was, I simply don't like what it resulted in. It makes Lily's character less interesting, not more (in my opinion, anyway). Whether this makes sense in the context of the overarching story is another matter entirely.

Hi, chapter 45 and the volume 10 chapters (46-50) were not covered by Aoi Shoujo Scan. An alternate fan translation exists, but while the scanlator said they planned to post it here, they never got around to it before going under. Personally though I recommend defaulting to the official english if it's available to you :>

I love that Loretta nd Pepi are also helping I love them.

Wait is Arla the hot scar filled mommy...? Is she actually still alive!? I'm so happy. DIBSSSSSS

Thank god they had a deus ex machina back up of the same info needed to screw over Salas.

Kinda sad next chapter is the series finale. I might read the LN after, and then the sequel LN with their kids.

Thanks for the translate and upload as always Shoujo Scans.

Yup, that seems to be her name. I am assuming she has been properly introduced in volume 10, and am also very happy that she made it. :-)

There's been no announcement that 65 is the last chapter. I think the epilogue with the kids will be adapted.

Thanks for the translate and upload as always Shoujo Scans.

:)

If we judge by the speed of the manga vs the LN, then I doubt it will end quicky. I am sure the trial will be dragged out, assuming we head to the trial first already.

Is this sequence a manga original? I don't remember it from the novel (it's been years though).

A lot of nonsense to untangle in a single chapter, maybe it would make more sense if I better remembered previous chapters but still :P Was that device mentioned in any of the 60+ chapters before that? Because otherwise it feels like it came out of nowhere, Rei was in despair that they had nothing they could do just a couple of chapters back but evidently that whole time they had an ace up their sleeve?

Oh and if your answer begins with "in the novels blahblahblah" then that's the wrong answer, I don't care about them :P

The novel went pretty much straight from Claire's rejection to the trial IIRC.

The novel went pretty much straight from Claire's rejection to the trial IIRC.

The confrontation with Alter was in the novels as well, but it ended differently. Rae gives up hope after that, and Manaria talks her into trying again at the trial. Then the trial happens, iirc. I distinctly remember thinking the whole final chapter felt like it was over too quickly, so I much appreciate that we've got more buildup to the trial in the manga. Good stuff.

I mean, the preview for chapter 65 was posted the other day. Chapter 65 is called "Joy To The World", (temporary title TL,) having quite the contrast to the past 7. (preview's here: https://x.com/Inori_ILTV/status/2098426878407381038)

Also, the preview literally shows the crowd having gathered for the trial.

Between that and all the context in the series, I don't see how it could possibly be postponed any longer.

inori-sensei's fixation on incest is the result of her rare condition known as "being heckin based"

as for the manga's pacing I'm pretty sure they wanted to make the final arc more climactic, it was kinda over really fast in the novels and Arla also didn't really amount to anything. She just kinda went >:( and tried to execute Claire and then went "ok fine I won't." I'm glad they decided to bring her back now so her role will be expanded instead of what I thought they were doing earlier (killing her off to get her out of the way).

I think the point was to put Salas even more front and center as the primary antagonist because he's been an even bigger asshole in the manga.
