It's kinda funny how she seemed to literally just realize lesbians were a thing when he/they mentioned them.
I'll be honest I can't imagine wearing women's clothing just for a romantic partner. If they continue even after dating it's officially gender, just in a 'im not touching you' sort of manner where you don't -say- it's trans.
Edit: Like to be honest if one views sexuality as a spectrum, I don't think it's even unfair to say there are some women who normally only would date women, who would probably be okay with men who dressed as women very well wore makeup and acted more feminine. This would be suspiciously similar to trans inclusive lesbians but if that's what helps their partners live their life than okay?
Edit2: Also I think it'd be very easy for the whole 'lesbian because she's afraid of/hates men' thing to be turned on its head, since if you didn't like them to begin with, constantly having to vat away come ons and then them getting angry at you for your rejection would naturally sour your view of men.
