Dangerously unskippable chapter title.

This is the most "you have to Land the plane" premise I've ever seen but two of the engines are already shot to pieces with this first chapter

If you know he's a man dressed as a woman and you end up dating him just because he can't get over it and move on, then obviously you don't like women. You just like a man dressed as a woman.. This is so stupid

dynasty commenters love to immediately extrapolate the full intent and meaning of a work from the first chapter.

no need for the characters to have actual arcs, lets just assume how they act at the very beginning is how they will be forever. god forbid a teenanger be depicted as vague and uncertain about their orientation or even gender

It's kinda funny how she seemed to literally just realize lesbians were a thing when he/they mentioned them.

I'll be honest I can't imagine wearing women's clothing just for a romantic partner. If they continue even after dating it's officially gender, just in a 'im not touching you' sort of manner where you don't -say- it's trans.

Edit: Like to be honest if one views sexuality as a spectrum, I don't think it's even unfair to say there are some women who normally only would date women, who would probably be okay with men who dressed as women very well wore makeup and acted more feminine. This would be suspiciously similar to trans inclusive lesbians but if that's what helps their partners live their life than okay?

Edit2: Also I think it'd be very easy for the whole 'lesbian because she's afraid of/hates men' thing to be turned on its head, since if you didn't like them to begin with, constantly having to vat away come ons and then them getting angry at you for your rejection would naturally sour your view of men.

i often find myself enjoying transbian yuri. this doesn't feel like that, though as a cis woman, i'm not sure how much say i have in that regard. as a lesbian though, i will say this is kind of uncomfortable, silly premise or not

Wow, talk about striking a bunch of "fumbling sensitive topic" flags at once.

The story sounds cute and may end up that way, but I don't think I ever saw a chapter handle this badly both the "lesbians are just women traumatized by bad men" and the "trans women are trying to trick other women" topics. It doesn't even sound like malice, just... really, really, really clumsy.

Honestly I'm wondering if this chapter won't have been removed in a couple of days.

Guess I might stay, though it's mostly just hoping that the conclusion ends up being "and then she was a girl and dating another girl and all was happy" even if we have to hide everything that comes before in the story for the catastrophic way it handled the way there !

tbh knowing Obiya Midori's previous works("Starting Today She's My Childhood Friend" & "No, Miyahara, Not You!"), this series might not be anything profoundly deep.

but still i'd rather just wait for future chapters before casting further judgement.

edit: konno lowk dumb tho, if a guy who keeps confessing to me(who also used to bully me btw!!!!) suddenly says some random girl might like me i'd be suspicious

Sigh...Yeah, your probably right. Would be fun if they dunked on those sorts of comics, but I think they'd have telegraphed it more if the intent was that.

But yeah, this might be something to read and then avoid looking at the discussion. I think it'll be a really interesting exploration of sexuality if not just a goofy somewhat het-focused rom-com. I feel like the art style is so familiar though or at least it's similar to another series I've seen on here before.

As a trans women, this looks like a mountain sized dumpster fire of a premise trying its hardest to hit every controversial topic at once.

I’m morbidly curious enough to keep reading because I think these characters were handled with enough humanity there is 0.0001% they can land this burning wreckage of a plane, and lords knows I’ve read more rancid manga than this in hopes of finding mythical good trans lesbian representation.

This reads a lot like genderfluid: where you don't care what presentation you have, you just want to be with the person you love. That said, these are children, teenagers. Let them cook.

Much as I'd love to cling to a transbian reading and give benefit of the doubt to the writing choices... Nnnnnope, I don't think I'll be coming back for chapter 2.

The banana and random aggressive skinship scene already told me the 'humor' isn't my taste.

The best outcome I can see for this is it ending with being EXTREMELY pro-trans and genderqueer, in the same way that Attack on Titan's final episode went "Hey, all that stuff we said about how fascism is good was stupid actually"

I feel like most people here are beeing very reasonable specially when it released with the Yuri tag, like all comment are saying it's either a messy story or just not the story advertise, most us are saying that will give it a shot and if it's not what we expected we will just stop reading, feels fair to me

Thing is this is not transgender woman, this is a guy who intentionally crossdressed to get with a girl who rejected him multiple times when he looked like a guy and gave her trauma so it is a conversion story not of a guy transitioning into a girl but a girl falling for crossdressing guy where the girl has infamous trauma of hating men joke.

I think there could be potential for the "guy" to actually end up as a trans woman eventually, but as it is now. . . .
