I think it's just her realizing the love she has for Sofia is romantic love, while the love she has for Olivia is platonic love. Like she still "loves" all the girls from the game, but can now differentiate between the different kinds of love and acknowledges that even platonic love is still a "precious love".

As an adult Olivia looks even better for saying she found other things that mattered to her besides Machino. Like, that's ideal in a partner! You don't want to be codependent at the expense of everything else.

Tbh I'm not too mad at a Sofia end because she was super cute and sweet in the first few chapters. I enjoyed their dynamic and I enjoyed Sofia as a character. But when they started introducing the other characters, she started getting shafted and we as the readers kinda forgot what was great about Sofia since Olivia had the more engaging storyline. I do feel characters like Sofia are harder to write engaging storylines for compared to "villainous" characters like Olivia though.

Well yeah characters that change and grow in a story are more dynamic and interesting than characters that stay the same. It's not that Sofia is nice compared to Olivia starting out misunderstood. There are plenty of nice characters that develop and change over the course of a story. Sofia just hasn't.

She's an industry plant. Doesn't feel like she "earned" her place as the "winner." Feels mechanical. If this was the intended ending, Olivia shouldn't have gotten the focus she was given. The balance wasn't right.

As for this chapter, it was less Machino dropping Olivia, and more Olivia dropping herself. I'd say there's still room for a Renako-Vision.

Welp...This is a unfortunate situation and route...Still technically a harem manga/series...But sadly 'not likely' going to join the small 10% true harem ending types and going the route either of open-ending or one-single pairing ending route huh...Sad.

I will be really surprised if the harem ending is actually going to happen though...

But At least have a happy ending for MC and Sofia(1st girl win trope activated)...At least one single good came out of that I guess...?

RIP to the comment of those begging for the harem ending from the author...Their choice in the end but eh...Like other people said...Could have been done or written better if they really want a single pairing ending like how despite loving each other, one them is not okay with 'sharing/poly relationship' before ending things peacefully but still possessing some lingering deep affectionate before eventually changing to 'good friends(Very platonic type, not the they were roommate type)' relationship as time pass. Author's choice in the end but eh Shrug, it's the people choice to like or dislike it.

At least Olivia seem to be pretty confident and can stay strong/faith in herself despite the situation of dropping out of the race/harem ending.

RIP, series been fun when started and while it last till now. Now all we got to do is wait for the next few (2-5+???) chapters left for the final ending of this series....Though actually I don't know if this series is actually completed or not? But from this chapter alone it seem to be ending to it's conclusion soon I think from the feeling/vibe?
