I'm not well-versed in the manga industry, so I wanna ask if it's normal for a mangaka to have so many assistants. The names here are enough to fill the page.

It started as a twitter comic, I think, so this is probably a list of supporters. They're probably not assistant assistants.

seeing [END] made my heart sink, but this was really such a pleasant series all the way thru. Thank you for your translations, they were also very good! i'm glad even sugar. Is appreciating the quality of it hehe

It’s there any proof of an axe? Everytime a Series ends people says axe just because with 0 proof of it being axed, its annoying lol

Yes it was axed. That's why they talk about it within the series. Also while it was serialized there was a very long break before the final arc, probably extra time needed to think of an ending.

But the author also said it was axed in an online afterword which I will share soon.

It's funny because I honestly believe sugar. was in the middle of the chapter when the news of the axe came and that's why it was so abruptly shoe-horned in. Bit jarring but masterful way to play it.

Too bad about the axe, but I'm glad they at least sticked the landing. After the hypnosis arc I was worried the ending was gonna be weird and fucked up.

It can't be helped that the series got axed suddenly, but I do wish there was stronger confirmation of the main couple in the last chapter. Overall a very nice series though and thanks to the translators for bringing it to us

?!

Either you've gotten to the comment section for the wrong manga or what you meant to ask was "I hope there's a bonus chapter where they get their pussies out and grind on each other", which, hey, I read that Yatosaki Haru series that got everyone in a tizzy, so I get it

The thing that sticks out in my mind that I can't let go is the lack of earnest romance moments. They didn't even kiss. No confirmation from them or any other character that they're a couple. Yes, both of them said, "I love you," but neither of them ever say, "I'm in love with you." When you combine that with some of the incredibly gay goings-on (the smell and swimsuit chapters, for instance) it seems almost like the author was fully prepared to get into fetish territory while at the same time being afraid to fully commit to them being in a relationship. It just kind of fell at the finish line for me.

That feels like a pretty uncharitable interpretation of the "yuri-ness" of the manga. One could just as easily say that bc of everything you just mentioned making it so obvious they're together, that there was no reason to explicitly call it out. Just bc the characters don't look directly into the camera and spell out the self-evident doesn't mean it isn't a thing.

Eh... It was okayish at first; it did get better later, sure, but it introduced a bunch of weird things that always stuck out in a negative light for me. The "in and out" hypno arc didn't really help.

The "Yuriness of the main couple" felt kind of like an afterthought post-axe reveal. I understand why people are meh about that part. It just sort of felt like an "Oh yeah, and also this" moment.

A Solid 6/10 overall.

Definitely felt to me like a slow-ish burn that had to skip past confessions due to the looming axe, and we got a brief show of domesticity after the time skip.

Well, if them being roommates isn't enough, I guess we could always appeal to the translator.

Which word for love was getting thrown around in the raws? We looking at plain ol' suki? Or koi?

I feel like Sugar telling the translator to their face that this work is yuri should be all you need really??

Also I posted this on the discord server but I guess I need to post it here too.

"Honestly I think the funniest part of the ending of Galtaku is Fumi calling them both out for never saying what they actually feel and the extrapolated implication based on how they act there being they lived together while clearly being in love with each other but because neither of them said it before they weren't actually dating before this which is why they're only just now working up to maybe have say gex"
It's the meme where they say they're finally dating and everyone around them is just "what were you doing before that??" but built into their overall issues as a couple

I apologize for not seeking your approval for how I should feel about something beforehand. I'll be sure to do better in the future.

Oh Nagi, a useless lesbian to the last. Can’t make a move without pretending.

I'm surprised nobody is discussing the most shocking reveal of the chapter: that Fumi is into guys

Genuinely when I was reading it I was like "wait, Fumi is Bi?" She was definitely into Airi but she was never as serious as Nagi (especially because it was incredibly obvious to her how intense Nagi's affection was lol)

Also it's so nice finally seeing Nagi and Airi being together romantically, it's very sweet. Now Nagi doesn't have to do any intense repression, just be a good ol useless lesbian while she lives with her girlfriend.

There's no shortage of grievances for an axed manga. I really wanted to see the slowburn drawn out and watch them go through all manners of stupid situations. I loved the hypnosis arc and would've welcomed more weird round-about ways Nagi and Airi express their affection for each other. C'est la vie.

Personally, in situations like these, I've grown past the concept of "explicit confirmation" - considering the target audience, it is pretty redundant. Series is tagged yuri, Nagi explicitly has a crush on Airi, they live together post-timeskip, they say I love you to each other... I mean...
