I wasn't sure about the foreign princess' role, but it seems she is mainly there to give us a fresh outside look at the current relationship dynamics, which I appreciate.

Find someone that looks at you like Hesha looks at Jolene.

Word! A while ago, I took some acting classes a while ago, and my instructor kept telling us that real intimacy lies not in the body language (i.e. where you touch the other) but in the eye contact. I have seen few better examples proving them right than the last panel on this page. They are not even touching each other, but everyone knows the two are basically one whole at this point.

The Prince is such an oblivious dumbass. How did you not see what Hesha x Jolene had going on? Even the foreigner princess figured it out. Its crazy to think the Principle had to sit him down and explain that theyre gay, omg......

I do not think that he had no idea about Hesha and Jolene. I took it that he instead was shocked by the principal bluntly bringing it up in conversation, especially since I have some suspicions that he may be suspecting he is attracted to men himself (exhibit A: Jolene's brother). The principal might be actually playing a mind game with him here and indirectly giving him the usual spiel ("I am talking about women dating women here, but what I am actually saying is that it's okay for you to date guys discreetly, as long as are legally married to a woman and have her pump babies to continue your bloodline like I did").

Normally I don’t care for side couples but in this manhua, I’ve loved the side pairings just as much as the main girls

Yikes Diana, were you really gonna crush that maid’s fingers over petty theft? My opinion is beginning to sour on Diana. Like geez girl chill.

On another note, yay old gays looking out for each other! Hesha’s mama and the principal r cute! Throw the guy out and let them be together.

The twink she was interested in, wasn't a twink at all.

Girls (or at least girlthings) can be twinks too. I should know, I have a Discord friend who got married... what was it, last year, the year before that?... and one of her and her partner's friends joked they're a twink couple: girltwink x boytwink.

I always find it funny how there is no equivalent to twink for women, if there was, almost all the female characters would fit it, but that's not the case, so it's girl/woman and for men instead of bishonen people say twink even though they're not synonymous. Like BV said, if you eliminate the male part of twink and just take the body description, most female characters are twinks

On Hesha and Jolene's latest spat: You know it's true love when an outside observer cannot tell whether they are fighting or flirting.

In other news, Hesha is still a big precious dumdum.

Lastly, what are the odds of circumstances just accidentally lining up to make Jolene and Kelly put on full body armor and joust for the princess' amusement?

Likewise. Was expecting Principal to try to sabotage Jolene and/or Hesha, but she turned out to be incredibly nice. Also, there was probably a "your mom" joke in her interaction with Hesha somewhere.

Yeah, and for some reason, I don't find Irene's reassurance particularly reassuring -- not after she has also told us that Diana has had people literally killed on her orders.

I think it's interesting seeing more of Diana's characterization, and how harsh and detached she seems, especially towards common folk. I don't think it's a coincidence that Liu Bei Li is pairing her up with Kelly, who's been shown to not only be willing to stand up to nobility for her own sake but for the sake of others. Hell, even knowing Diana's station, she was willing to intervene on behalf of the waitress regardless of what fate awaited her. I think Kelly will, over time, help give her a more grounded view of what life is like for the common folk, and that they can be a force to be reckoned with when properly motivated. We'll probably also get some romantic angst, with Kelly still pining for Hesha while Diana starts to pine for Kelly.
