Hikaru can recognize this and reassure Itsuki about it but cannot do so for herself because she's convinced herself that in the same way you do. It's somehow a different situation when at it's core it is not.
I only noticed this today. I understand why you were angry.
convinced herself that in the same way you do
I wasn’t affirming Hikaru insecurity, I wanted to explain the feelings that she shows in the chapter not that I agree with her. I wanted to “explain” because as I said, I misunderstood your comment. When you used shape and stereotype I thought you meant that Itsuki had insecurities about her appearance and that’s why in my first paragraph I alluded that her insecurities are not about that. and the last paragraph is me explaining how I think Hikaru feels (“it’s ok for everyone but not for me”) not how I feel/see her. I understand your point and agree with not fitting in society.
I understand now why I said upset you, sorry for the misunderstanding. But eng is not my first language so certain words I associate with a more direct meaning or straight up interpret them wrong (I thought older than she looks would have women who looked older than their age, someone here explained to me that I was reading it wrong)
