For how wholesome this was, starting out with a steamy one-night-stand has been an odd choice. Starting with the monring after, jumping back to introduce both characters, and then picking up back feels contrived where sequential storytelling (first meeting -> warming up -> drunk ONS) would have come naturally.
That aside I really like Mio's side of the story too. She might have fallen for a straight girl one to many times, but nonetheless stays supportive and cheerfull instead of souring into cynicism. Perhaps she needed her fairytale romance even more than Yui. Though
Also, is it anywhere realistic that selling Nuigurumi paraphernalia makes more than employment as OL? I can understand handwaving the explicit details for escapism's sake, but directly stating that threw me off.
Baby carriages for your plushies is a bit too far. But I'm glad they're living the way they want. Kouhai seemed a bit unhinged but no one ended up gettimg stabbed at the end so it all works out. Happy to see them grow old together.
With you on the first part, but what makes Mio "unhinged"? As far as manic pixie dream girls go, she hardly qualifies as one to begin with.
