Meh. One of the worst anime I have ever watched. I still don't get it, why it was hyped so much on dynasty.

Nice ending overall. I got my yuri and the characters and themes were enjoyable. Not much complains. And yeah, it's sort of rare to be getting a show like this that isn't the usual male harem. It's been a fun ride.

Once I heard about tentacles I of course was really disappointed, but after watching actual episode their screen time is so short they don't really matter. I feel like we are having deja vu from episode 4, where 10-20 seconds somehow ruined overall solid episode (and those 10-20 seconds still made sense and fit into situation). Actually, that fake rape scene make much more sense now since it was foreshadowing Mirei's strong-will and determination, so when after being absorbed, she breaks free from another illusion, it doesn't come out as out of nowhere or cliche thing (MC using his strong will to defeat bad guy/protect people close to him in order to break w/e he is trapped in)

Yes. Illusion. Let's address those tentacles directly. I don't think they actually happen. Rather they were just a visualization of what is happening to them. After being absorbed, the Armed Virus was being sucked out of girls while they pretty much were half conscious and powerless, trapped inside Mamori's Arm form. Sure, they could pick anything else, and it was clear fanserivce (thought I wouldn't even really call it that, since as with fake rape, I felt discomfort rather than excitement watching it), but it was all just in their mind and tentacles just perfectly represented the state they were in. As a prove, once Mirei and Mamori releases every, they are still clothed. And honestly, can you imagine that little tentacle nest is actually inside Mamori? Me neither.

The romance was perfectly fine for the genre. VD never promised to put main focus on it and what we got was the same amount we would get from any show with male protagonist. Usually in second season they expend on it more. First is for setting the setting and giving MCs chance to properly develop relationship and feelings. They didn't say cliche "I love you" in last episode, but it felt like they are pretty much here emotionally, they just never bothered to speak it out loud and why should they, since they reached 100% matching and basically become one with each other. They merged together and created new life form for a short time, so I'm pretty sure they know exactly how they both feel about each other at this point.

I'm not sure it even need a second season though. To me it was perfectly satisfying ending that tied all loose ends. It is clear that all they are going to do now is go to cure everyone from Armed Virus and then return home. Showing it island by island and maybe all around world would be boring so just implying it is enough. So all that it leaves is dealing with Triple A, but aren't they basically powerless now? Especially since Mirei and Mamori can just disable any new Solders at will. So I don't really think there is enough material for second season.

So Enhanced, Solders etc. were modified in order to reach level of true Valkyrie Drive. Have to say, it was really overpowered xD

I liked that it wasn't just Mire and Mamori whooping the floor with Momoka, but it was group effort. Also I can't be the only one thinking that looked awesome @__@

Also where it is shown that Lady Lady left fight before cure was used? Last time we see them is when they are helping deal decisive strike to Momoka and they wouldn't leave everyone just like that in the most crucial moment. If anything they would stay just to see it through. They had no idea that Mirei would manage to cure everyone around too. Also from what I understood, when Mirei and Mamori are ascending into sky, they are curing everyone on the island so even if Lady Lady did try to immediately run, they would still be reached. Sure they are not shown in final moments, but nowhere it is shown that they dodged being cured as well.

Again, I watched this episode ready to be disappointed, but it actually defended itself alright. So with all that being said, I enjoyed this series much more than I expected, especially since I wasn't really waiting for it and just ended up tagging along randomly, but in the end, it was worth my time. Sure, I could nitpick stuff and some things could be expended/shown more. Still, for what we got, I think it deserves solid 8 out of 10.

Episode 4 was truly flaw in VDM (due to gang rape scene) but I'm not furious about tentacles scene in episode 12 since the girls are inside Mamori. Overall, I'll give 7/10 for VDM. The ending seems normal, nothing at all.

It also serves to have a definitive contrast between Mirei and Momoka use of Mamori. As we saw, the cure for the armed virus was to absorb it from its host but while Momoka was forcing the absorption to fuel her own interests, MireMamo was something tender and heartwarming.

Indeed, their actions said more to me than a hundred of love confessions. And well, isn't like we got an actual confession on the show so is kind of a biased argument to judge MireMamo in basis to that.

They still have the artificial arms and if the enhanced soldiers are any indication, they could be more than a match for MireMamo. As for the other islands, I can see some characters refusing to get cured and even having a misunderstanding that could pit them against MireMamo, is even possible for the other main couples to achieve their own Valkyrie Drive as well.

For all the complaints about the Valkyrie design, I found more hilarious that Momoka turned Mamori's sword into a freaking keyblade before sprouting jet boots to fly into the space. I mean, c'mon people, the Valkyrie was pretty subsided compared to that.

Yeah, it was an appropiate finale for the show. Although now it's finished it leaves a hole in my heart ;_;

I think they could make a different ending than everyone being cured to be honest.
There might be a better way to leave the island without having to lose their powers. It feels like they waste all of the characters this way.
Maybe there could be a war between the goverment and organisations and they need the girls' power for it so they release them to help.
But besides this part and the tentacle, the rest of the episode was fine.
There were still a lot of undiscovered parts from the side characters, like Akira, Momoka and Kasumi (although it was nice that it turns out Hibiki loved her) but this is completely impossible to happen in just 12 episodes.

I believe the writers wanted both Mirei and Mamori in love with each other, and
if we got more seasons with them, it would probably get a more clear confession. I Mamori confessed now, maybe it would feel a little rushed. Especially for someone like Mamori. Remember, how long do they actually know each other? A month or less?
Btw Lady Lady final mode was the coolest transformation. I hope the fanbase, now that the show is over, will keep on making fanarts and stories.
If the show got 2nd season i would like it to be the same characters again and maybe the new from the other islands if they intend on introdusing them too.

Was some brainless fun, delivers a lot of real yuri even through fanservice... unlike the usual (fake/shallow/joke/pointless) yuri fanservice other animes get.

Sadly this is one of the very few, in the already scarce genre, yuri anime that I've managed to enjoy.

Overall I had a lot of fun with the show...minus all the rape. Let's hope the story gets expanded on another season or movie or something.

Other than that, a Drama CD with MireMamo, Meifong, Lady Lady and Torino will be released on March but far as I know it can only be ordered by getting a voucher from Megami magazine making it kind oh difficult for it to hit the internet.

Kaneko said that Mini OVA 1 took place after ep 4. Mirei took Akira's poster off before asking Mamori to tutor her. Mamori let Mirei took off the poster because doing tutoring under Gouverneur watchful gaze is just really awkward. Mirei put the poster back in place afterwards.

Last episode of radio. Here we go.

Opening talk.Reminding us that this is the last episode of the radio. ‘The finale’. They said that they will missed this radio. They will spend this episode looking back on both the anime and radio.
The anime was recorded very early, since May 2015 so they felt nostalgic. Iguchi remember Izawa coming to the recording booth wearing same clothes with her only in different color. Izawa thought that even in the recording, VDM already looks quite intense so when she saw it on TV she was surprised by how the complete package looks and thinks that it got even more intense thanks to the staff’s effort. Izawa wanted to know the people’s reaction for the mini OVA. That’s it for anime looking back.

Iguchi reminiscence the first time Kubo joined as host and said that with three host with very different personality she’d hoped that they can offer a fun time for the listener. She also talked a bit about Izawa family’s mystery and proceed to joke about them being nobility again. She closed the topic with concluding that the radio have given them lot of good memories and allow them to bond and become better friends with each other.

Mail corner. First mail thought that when Iguchi said there’s important announcement back in radio ep 10 they just gonna add more host, but turns out it’s really over. Then they proceed to ask the hosts about the quirks and personality of each host that they didn’t know before. Both Kubo and Iguchi thought that Izawa were raised very carefully and with lots of love based on her story about her family. Iguchi add that like how Mamori continues to develop in the story, she found Izawa to keep improving since the first time she worked with her. As they work more, Izawa started to be bolder and her tsukkomi also getting better. Izawa said that Kaneko thought that she was a very shy girl at first but she actually talks a lot and said that he actually took some inspiration from Izawa for Mamori’s character. Izawa found the fact that Iguchi having a pet dog and cat to be surprising, she said it’s because Iguchi didn’t looked like someone that would like cats and dogs. Iguchi really, really loves her dog, she thought that most of dogs are cute but always found her family’s dog to be the cutest. Iguchi thought that Kubo is very grown up. She said that sometimes Kubo can come up with really deep stuff. Then Kubo started acting like an idiot.

Second mail is from a girl in her teens. This is her first mail and she loves VDM and hoped that there S2. The hosts are very happy to know that there’s girls watching and loving VDM and even listening to the radio. Izawa said that while Mire Mamo is quite popular, Kasumix Charlotte is also popular. She said that people seems to love their quarrel and the way Charlotte pronounced the ‘-san’ in ‘Kasumi-san’. Then proceed to vaguely promote Harada’s live on 30 Dec.

Third mail is also from a girl, a Kansai girl. She said she’s quite similar with Meifon when it comes to money and because she love VDM too much she bought the first BD, she also visited the café that did collaboration with VDM. The store is only on Kobe, Kansai. And ask the hosts whether they have something that when it’s done too much they suffer from it. Izawa said in her case its nervousness, and both Kubo and Iguchi shared her opinion. In Kubo’s case, she’s usually talkative so when she’s suddenly went quiet people around her start asking whether she’s okay. Kubo is actually a quiet person, so when she felt like enjoying silence people mistook it as a sign that she’s troubled. She’s actually quite bothered by this because it makes her unnecessarily nervous. When it happens she said she would calm herself down by using her towel that she brought from home. She said that the smell of familiarity help her calm down. Iguchi is simpler, she said she just wrote the kanji for person on her palm and swallow it. Other thing she did would be to change her mindset, to justify her nervousness. She said that she would try to think this’ because this is really important and can possibly create a wonderful memories for the future of course I’d be nervous’. She would try to spin it in positive way.

Kubo said that she’s generally a negative person, so sometime her negativity can get out of hand and made her suffer. Iguchi said her love for her dog made her suffer. She took great care of her dog, but whenever she saw a stray do she never tried to feed it of pet it. She said the moment she start giving it food, she’s responsible for feeding it for life. That’s it for mail corner. They played Overdrive in radio this week, no Lady Lady song preview.
I never translated this corner before but this is where they ask listener to submit praise and then rate how good it is when used to women, specifically the three of them. Number one praise for this whole corner is this one ‘I can work hard as long as you’re with me, so please look at me’ only works when the woman is older though.

Same old info corner. News: It was announced before that the radio will be compiled into a CD, and they will add extra compilation episode guesting Tazawa Masumi. This week radio reveal that they already finished recording that extra episode. All of the hosts, Iguchi, Izawa, and Kubo also appear in the extra so Tazawa wouldn't be alone. The CD would be released on 24 Feb 2016, Wednesday.

There’s extra of the hosts being handed flowers bouquet in the radio pic. Well that’s it. That’s the end of the radio. If someone ripped the radio CD I would summarized the extra episode too.
