sisters want each other. yomi gets gf to distract herself from her feelings. mia sees yomi doing the sex with mahiru, mia tempts yomi into sex at home. yomi, being the coward she is, moves to tokyo to run away from her problems (cheating on gf and giving in to her feelings for her sister).

I really didn't like this one, im going to fool around with my sister and cheat on my girlfriend then im going to run away like a little bitch, my question: is there a point to this story? i like tragedy when it has a POINT
I mean the title is accurate but depression for depressions sake is meh.

and yes i understand the whole getting a gf thing was to avoid her feelings for her sister and all but i repeat: what was the point? i should say this to more fluff yuri too, what the hell is the point?

I didn't understand the plot.

Big sister is in love with little sister. Big sister is in a relationship with schoolmate.
Big sister caves when she finally lets herself realize little sister has the same feelings.
Big sister is a selfish coward and leaves both girlfriend and little sister.

Is it just my or are Yui7's stories just spiraling into the pit of melancholy? I mean, I love the art and stuff but goddamn... can we have a sprinkle of happiness somewhere?

I didn't understand the plot.

Yomi lusted after her sister, and to avoid giving in to temptation went out with Mia to satisfy her lust. The sister, Miharu, realized it, and they had sex. Yomi, knowing it wasn't something they could keep doing, made the hard decision to move away (I think the parents may be divorced, so going to live with the father instead of the often-absent mother). Mia revealed she knew what was happening all along, but loved Yomi so went along with it. The "coward" in the title could refer to not being able to go after her sister in the first place, not levelling with Mia, and/or running away from the situation at the end.

That's my read anyhow.

Thanks, now I understand. The plot is pretty bad, I think.

The porn is good though.

This gives me a needed reality check with Yuri. It kind of gets tiring to see fluff all the time. Yui_7 gives me a dark yet lovely feel in her stuff, which makes me go "Oh boy" when I see updates with her name on it. The incest thing...ah, don't really hate it, don't really like it Incest is all fun and games till you imagine doing that with your siblings

I liked it, despite being a downer. I think Yomi made the right move at the end, since both of her relationships were unhealthy, and hopefully she can make a fresh start in Tokyo. Even if to some degree she's running away with both problems.

Definitely not fluffy lol
On the one hand, it's too short for the characters to be well enough developed that the story makes sense.
On the other, any longer and it'd be like ... Happy End (God I hate that story!)
The sex is nice though :P

I get what you mean, thats what I get from the air of the works of this mangaka.

How dare you question the point of fluffy yuri!
Fluffyness is the point itself.

I agree. Sometimes we have to leave, to put some distance with what we want and should not have. But she cannot run away from herself...
Love this artist. On day she wrote that she would like more realistic yuri out there, so I guess this is what she's giving us.

Very well put Nezchan, I was thinking the same thing. And the author's stories are getting depressing, might something had happened?

Porn: tenouttaten

Story: like a jigsaw puzzle where you can put the pieces together in your mind but the overall picture still looks sloppy as fuck. I know what she is trying to do but I think she loses her focus when she draws those insanlely hot scenes.

Still loved it though
Also, damnit when do I get the story to this you tease? http://dynasty-scans.com/images/1566

I like it. Fluff is nice and all, but it can get dull. I can't enjoy it without occasionally dipping into the dark pit that is called reality.

Ya know...I don't mind the story persay, it boils down mostly to why I don't like one-shots in the first place. They give you this large empty feeling most times ESPECIALLY the dark/realistic/aaaaaaangst-y ones.

You can't really put an 'End' on it feels like someone telling you a story like this.

"This one time, I was boning my girlfriend when I really wanted to bone her sister right? Then one day I went to her house and the sister was there but not my girlfriend, she told me she'd seen me and her sister going at it and threatened to tell if I didn't do her...so I went ahead and did it...but I couldn't handle all that pressure, so I broke up with my girl who got mad cause she knew I was after her sister. I had to get out of that situation man so I decided to leave... ... ..."

It's like....AND?! What else happened? I'm not looking for EVERYONE'S ending just SOME semblance of a conclusion. The reality is that the conclusion is that there is no conclusion. It's artist's favorite thing to do most of the time. "I'll leave the ending up to the reader.".... Why? Don't tell me a story then say "So...what do you think happened after that?" I don't know...

At this point I could confidently say something like this.

Ex-Virgin sister kills herself out of depression.
Other sister loses all ability to commit to a relationship.
and the Ex-Girlfriend is the only one who manages to get a decent relationship after shutting her heart all throughout school and some girl from work years later breaks her out of that shell.

I mean...tell me something. Have one of the characters narrate something like "Little did she know...I'd always have eyes for her." or something, it's more solid than "And she leaves the house...The End."

Doesn't have to be fluffy at this point or happy, just...conclusive.

Yeah, this reads way more like it's set up for a sequel, than as a oneshot with a vague ending. Older sister's running away to Tokyo, but hasn't said anything to younger sister about why she's going or how she feels, making things infinitely more ruinous the next time they inevitably meet. Younger sister is left with a mother who's never home, suddenly having to fend for herself just as she's drowning in guilt for driving away her sister and probably blames herself for ruining older sister's relationship with girlfriend. Girlfriend finally gets the breakup she'd been fearing all along, but was never given a chance to understand the older sister's feelings or actions, even in the vaguest of terms. And even though older sister's run away, younger sister and girlfriend still go to the same school, and they've still seen each other's faces, so it'd be incredibly easy for them to find each other and start talking, especially if girlfriend notices younger sister being way more distraught than someone who's merely been separated from a sibling would usually be.

If it was a painful, distant sort of ending where nobody's happy and everyone has to move on with their miserable lives alone, then that'd be one thing, and I'd be able to critique it as a single complete story. When it's like this, when literally nothing is resolved, all the story threads are still active, and the situation is even more volatile than at any other point in the story? I can't even say anything positive or negative about it as a whole, it just doesn't register in my brain as complete.

I also have to agree with what Maus said about the sex scenes feeling unfocused. They were intense in terms of presentation, but they felt kind of disconnected from everything else in the story? Like, if we're supposed to see the older sister as trying to distract herself from younger sister and vent her sexual tension through her relationship with girlfriend, that's not particularly well illustrated by girlfriend being the one who's super excited about having sex outside at lunchtime while older sister goes "no~ we'll be late to class~" or whatever. Likewise, even if she says her head went blank when she heard younger sister's sexy voice, older sister still has a very conscious and emotional reaction when she realises it's younger sister's first time. She's not lost in the moment, she's aware of what they're doing and all the more excited because of it. They're good scenes, it just feels like they've been awkwardly stitched in from a lighter, pornier manga.

I dunno where the idea that Yomi was in love with Mia came from. Or that she was using her relationship with Mahiru to distract herself from it.

Here's my read of the plot:
- Mahiru is in love with Yomi, confesses. Yomi accepts but the feelings are obviously stronger on one side.
- Mia is in love with Yomi too. Mia continually tempts/tries to act on her feelings by doing things like making moves on Yomi while she's asleep.
- Yomi is turned on by the forbidden temptation of her sister's actions. When Mia lays herself out as bait in response to having seen Yomi with her girlfriend, Yomi finds herself returning Mia's seduction.
- Yomi feels that she herself is a lewd/easy woman. She sees the same thing in her sister, and connects that (in terms of blood/heredity) with their never present mother, who is always out with random men. The latter fact disgusts her, so she cannot accept her relationship with her sister (for both their sakes). She also cannot handle the guilt/feeling of having dirtied herself for having cheated on Mahiru, so she puts on a brave front and announces she'll move away.
- Mia's feelings towards Yomi probably did not arise from a simple sexual urge which threw away the rules of society, but rather their home situation where Mia also felt the lack of parental figures herself. Mia's advances upon Yomi echo Sakana no Miru Yume to me: an attempt to bind Yomi to her, to secure some small degree of stability.

The "coward" in the title could refer to all three characters. Yomi for running away from the responsibilities of her act upon her sister, and the potential rejection of Mahiru to her unsightly/weak true character. Mahiru for brushing away her deepening insecurities regarding Yomi's feelings, and allowing their relationship to persist as lukewarm water. And Mia for attempting to abscond herself into a private world of pleasure and security, making her sister a substitute to a wider world where she would have to stand weak and alone.

The story reads to me as complete. Just as all three characters were cowards, all three suffered, were punished, and correspondingly could be read as freed. Yomi who has firmly stepped out from the shadow of her lust. Mahiru who has found the courage to demand more for the price of her affection. And Mia who in her regret may have found a resolve to face the world upright. Overall I like the themes and relationships of this oneshot. I always find something of worth in Yui_7's work.

Incest stories aren't my kind of thing in general, but if there has to be some, I prefer something like Candy Boy. This was too dark for me and also the sex scenes weren't very sexy - at least for me. :D :D

I read it a bit differently -- Yomi is a coward for going along with everyone else's wishes instead of standing up for herself.

According to my reading, Mahiru asked her out and Yomi agreed even though her heart wasn't exactly in it, because it's easier. She complied with Mia's blackmail attempt because it's easier (which is not to say it's her own fault, but she herself seemed to think she could have refused had she tried). She moved away because, well, it "solves" all her problems. Breaking up, for example, is not as difficult when you have an excuse, and she won't see her sister again for a while at least.
The point, therefore, is how constantly giving in doesn't make anyone happy in the long run.

Also, I'd argue drama isn't more realistic than fluff per se. People like to think it is (probably in part because fluff is often extremely optimistic), but really, the world isn't just a pit of infinite darkness. Sometimes good things happen. Sometimes people are happy. You know, fluff.
