Yep, same here. We haven't even seen him and I like him better as a love interest than yamanaka-san.
This is probably the story that I like the least from Takemiya Jin. I generally dislike stories where one party is a jerk, but nonetheless everybody desires him/her. :/ kinda poor man's stockholm syndrome.

I hate that Takemiya make her have a boyfriend out of nowhere... but I also like it.

This boyfriend stuff came out of nowhere, i really liked it when she was just curious about yamanaka and did all those indirect approaches but now i fell like she is just a simple girl breaking up with her boyfriend because reasons....

While I do feel kind of bad for the guy, at the same time I rather like the lack of indecisiveness. At least she's making a clean break of it. My ex just lied to me for months eventually building up to cheating when she started to fall for someone else. So at least he's not getting strung along and completely shit on.

Based on the bit of dialogue he has in this chapter, it sounds like boyfriend-san already figured things out (before Taneda, even).

I still like Yamanaka, but I agree that it's hard to see exactly why Taneda is attracted to her.

I'm actually kinda excited about this development. The POV shifted from Yamanaka to Taneda which is pretty great since we get to see both sides. I'm a bit worried because in the earlier chapters Yamanaka's friend/ex basically said that Yamanaka is only kind to the person she's in love with, but her current attitude doesn't seem necessarily kind.

I just want a happy end.

Maybe Takemiya has a thing for the bad girl type..or something like that, but when the bad attitude is portrayed by guys it really is looked down upon...honestly a person that can treat you the best is really worth breaking up for not a person that doesn't even care about you

But, to be fair if it is someone you love so dearly (taking into the account that we haven't seen all the moments they had together and they've probably had some good ones) you'd really do anything for them

Doesn't look like she is - she seems like a regularly nice coworker that just isn't shy about playful chiding. Several of my male coworkers act like this towards each other, and you can tell they like each other (probably not in a yaoi way, sadly, they seem pretty straight). They sure spend a lot of free time together (mainly playing games during breaks)

Yamanaka is distant, but she's distant for a reason: She's a lesbian that has been burned in the past. And is STILL being burned by her now-to-be-married buddy. That's why I am somewhat distant to female coworkers.

The difference now is that the girl right now actually interested in her for real. But how would she know that? Right now, she doesn't.

(Also, can I say that I find it funny how certain people are already all over the guy, of whom we saw absolutely nothing, not even a face :P Going by the "drinking" scene a few chapters back, she wasn't even with him for that long at all - otherwise she could have escaped the male coworkers easily. TBH, he seems to be moving way too fast anyway. If I were straight, I'd be running as fast as I could if some guy was this fast with proposals... at least get to know her first, dude...)
