The most unforgivable part of the episode is that Stocking didn't immediatly to into heat when the chains came out. It's one of her more iconic character traits from the og, hard to imagine they just forgot.

A closer look at the most likely following words reveale the multi-purpose "scanty" having nigh completely declined, with the terms "scant attention", "scantily clad" and "scant evidence" (or variations thereof) making up the bulk of remaining usage.

^ From top of my head I only knew of Marmots, Bonobos (that entire species appears like designed by a horny pubescent teen) and Hyenas (not sure if that wasn't just a social dominance thing), but, to sum up the Wikipedia article: YES.

^Hypotheses in this article are interesting. Like If mother have high hormone levels the higher the chance her offspring will be engaging in homosexual behaviors. Or that the more monogamous "animal society" is the more female homosexual behaviors there is (and opposite for males). Or that is species that keep "some" levels of homosexual behaviors have higher chances in mating and survival - by not being too "picky".
