It’s a very understandable reaction or ‘crash out,’ I guess you could say. The fact that your current girlfriend refuses to delete her ex’s number just shows she isn’t over her.

I think people saying Ai isn't over her ex aren't remembering she is literally hallucinating her. Or that they promised to end each other's lives together, or how manipulative Kaede has been.

This is a much deeper and disturbing relationship than "just an ex" that Kon is pretending it is. I don't see Kon as being very unreasonable about this but i genuinely see Ai as desiring to save Kaede or has major guilt and other complicated feelings toward her and how no one even knows for sure if she's alive or not anymore. Rather than she wishes to be romantic with Kaede again above all else. This is also mixing in with Ai's self perception and what she wants in life and how she's still confused and traumatized of course the process is messy.

No, it just shows that she doesn't want to cut her ex entirely out of her life. You can be over someone and still care about them.

But in this story we know enough to be skeptical of Ai's intentions. She's hallucinating the woman. Her and Kon also have history with this ex. If you're partner has literally left you before to find this ex, it's not unreasonable to ask them to distance themselves for your peace of mind. This isn't a normal random, friendly ex who she just heard about, and suddenly flipped out. Would any of us not be a bit insecure at this point? Ai and Kaede are messing with this woman's mental like they probably messed with the husband's.

Kon also knows enough about this relationship to know how toxic it has been and she's been very accommodating and patient up to this point. Too accommodating actually. This is a small request to me. "This woman is chaos, she threatens our relationship. You say you've moved on but now you're not sleeping, your still keeping some things or hers and are hesitant at times about our future, so please fully move on." Plus she knows Kaede is still probably going to show up at some point.

This is my theory, but Akiyama Haru actually recycled her character from "Brides of Iberis", but this time with a twist: she's dead emotionally (which Tsuzuki wasn't).

As we saw, Kaede is an emotional vampire. She literally doesn't feel strong emotions. She doesn't feel "alive", except through the love of other people. When people truly love her, she feels like she exists.

So, I think that if she ever comes across Ai x Kon's couple, she wouldn't mind to share. Or even be shared between her husband and Ai. The more love for her, the better.

She never attempted to divorce from her husband and even keeps sending him texts to keep him hooked.

So, in the end, she doesn't actually "love" her husband or Ai, she only loves to be loved, as it makes her feel alive. So, she's, in fact, bisexual, probably poly and maybe even aro.

That obviously won't fly with Kon, which is obsessed with the "normality" her mother hammered into her, but I can see Kaede trying to seduce Kon too.

In this chapter, we saw fissures starting to appear in Kon and Ai's relationship. Kon doesn't understand why Ai would want to keep in touch with Kaede and Ai is haunted by Kaede and now, may suspect Kon of collusion with the husband.

This is going to be a huge mess. Not that I mind. I hope Akiyama Haru gets to do what she wants and is not axed, like the previous manga.

Having read chapters 1-7, I find the Romance tag misleading. This does not feel like the romance genre at all, this is drama about the tapestry of romantic entanglement between these characters. At this point I've stopped expecting the tag to be used on this site with any consistency; it's applied completely at random. But I will whine about it because what else can I do lol

I bought the 1st volume and chapter 2 had two additional pages that weren't in the magazine. It may be an important hint, so I added them in the chapter.

Are they pages 13-14?

Yeah.

It tickles me that the average straight female reader is expected to be so grossed out by lesbian intimacy that an author whose series is published in a josei magazine has to sneak in those kinds of pages in the tankoubon release. Goes to show those yuri fans who swear on the superior authenticity of "shoujosei yuri" are just properly delusional.

Now I really wonder how Battan got away with those sex scenes in Run Away with Me Girl since that was also published in a josei magazine.

The other issue is that she deliberately creates people who are wholly dependent on her, then strings them along. I wouldn't want to be part of her poly relationship, if we could even call it that and wouldn't want Kon anywhere near it.

I think you see evil where there's none. Chapter 9 had some nudity and it was in the magazine proper, no problem.

Since I buy the mag, Melody, to translate this, I can tell that the rest of it is pretty much josei. There are romantic yaoi series in it, with sex scenes. Nothing explicit either, just men kissing with only naked torso showing. It's clearly not a porn magazine, but it doesn't shy away from gay physical love either.

Yeah once I saw those were nude scenes, it made sense why they'd be taken out until the volume release. That's pretty standard.

Ai san hasn't let go of her ex, Kaede san.
Leaving out Kaede san's personality, Ai san loves Kaede san to the point of going out and searching for her presence, and hoping she's still alive.

You know how you would only confide things to people you trust? That's Kaede san to Ai san. She's important. Even if they aren't lovers anymore, she's still a very important person in AI's san's heart. It matters to her.

Yes, Kon san is suffering and has anxiety for this relationship because Ai san couldn't let go of her past.

Kon san is really kind. Ai san said that Kaede san is the one who saves her, but from what I read, it's Kon san who saves Ai san now. She holds onto Ai san , works hard to lead her a better life.

If there's a proper way to resolve this matter, is that Ai san has to meet Kaede san. It's only then they could tell what they have in their minds, and to choose to let go, or be together.

It's a messy drama yuri plot but I like it so far.
The usual yuri mangas that I've read are either schools or some adult life about how they are a perfect match to each other. To be fair, it was a little out of touch(hey, but I like them happy and fluffy).

But this is good too. I'll keep reading. My Blue Garnet is good. I'll keep reading it.

p.s.
Dear Ai san, life is precious. If you really love someone, live, so the ones who love you the most would never have to suffer the pain of losing you.
Please believe that Kaede san she's still alive somewhere, doing her best in her life .

On one hand I feel bad for Kaede, on the other hand I revile her (With the information we have in this story so far)
Though I lean more towards hating her, she leaves destroyed lives in her wake and toys with the people she's cast aside, stringing them on.

As far as Kon asking for the deleted contact thing, considering everything they've been through I don't think it's an unreasonable ask from her position. I just feel bad for Kon.

I reread this series alot, picked up the physical volume too! I think people are quick to judge kon when she uses the word normal ... kon has been rejected in every type of love shes tried to receive . Her parental love ? Nah her brother gets it all
She gets a lover ? Nah he was just using her and didnt even consider it serious.
Hell even when her and Ai were making out , Ai dropped it to check a cryptic message from kaede .
Of course kon would be insecure and worried . Ai the chapter before was dropping Lil hints she was still thinking of kaede .
Kon is a character who has been rejected in every aspect of life , Ai was the first person who seemed to accept her ..kon recongized then Ai was overwhelmed with thoughts of kaede . Kon loves Ai . Im not sure Ai loves Kon .
