Is this still ongoing or was Ch.10 the official ending? I expected this to go until the final 100th day of the challenge at least.

Ending for manga. It was always meant to cover the first novel, or so. There's lots of wholesome novels afterwards that continue their relationship as they hit dating milestones, etc. Still ongoing.

Binge read and thought it was generally lovely and wholesome… given the tags I was braced for chapter 8 to be rough, but it seemed super clear from her thoughts and actions that Marika was very into it? Brat/brat tamer dynamic + sub space stuff was also very clear especially given the prior chapter. Actually, Marika has been clearly doing the sub space thing since early chapters. Yes, explicit consent is better IRL, misread signals and you will wreck your life and inflict massive harm, and consent play needs extraordinary communication. It shows very risky behaviors, but I don’t see non-consent.

That's a debate as old as time here for whatever reason but I agree with you. It really is a wholesome story even given the premise, especially the rest of the novels.

MAL says the manga should have a third volume as well.

Yes, the manga has three volumes. OH! I didn't realize that person said chapter 10. Whoops. The manga ends at chapter 15. Sorry. I didn't realize Dynasty stopped at Volume 2. According to the author, those 15 chapters were always meant to cover only the first volume of the novels, seemingly regardless of sales. I'm pretty sure it could have kept going otherwise. The manga's stopping point is a solid one anyway. I think there are about six or seven novels now, right? I haven't read the most recently released ones.

The third volume is quite good (but is a bit shakier for scanlator work than first two?). I hope we get it on dynasty at some point.

Mangadex has it to chapter 15, ending the manga.

There are "fan" translations of 5 novels, I think linked somewhere in this thread. None are good, though there's a change halfway through in how they're bad. Probably the later ones are MTL, it was hard to tell how the first ones went wrong. I was still able to extract some perception of plot, and yuri BDSM fun.

Thank you for the sources! I was able to finish Ch 15 on mangadex. It was overall an enjoyable story. I thought the ending was absolutely precious with plenty of lovey-dovey feels. I'm satisfied with the ending.

Though I'm trying to make sense of why Aya decided it would be better if she maintained the image of Marika's rival and opposition, and thought if she revealed her feelings it would only get in the way. So she decides it's okay for Marika to hate her and see her as a villain. This is explained in ch 14 but I'm having trouble understanding why she thought this was necessary. if anyone can share their thoughts on this.

She was determined to fulfill her role as Marika had requested, striving to "give" as much as she "took" according to her understanding of those terms. She didn’t want to feel like she was taking advantage of Marika. To achieve this, she couldn’t treat their arrangement like a typical relationship. Instead, she had to continually remind herself that she was playing a "character," whose purpose was to save Marika.

Without this mental distinction, she feared being overwhelmed by Marika’s kindness and losing sight of the "job" she believed she needed to do. She understood Marika's strong will, recognizing that Marika would be able to handle anything thrown her way. Therefore, she wasn't as worried about the buttons she'd push. Of course she had her hopes for what could blossom between them and noticed Marika's enjoyment very quickly. It was always a delicate balance for her.

Does anybody know of/have a link to a translation of volume 7 of the LN? I've read up to the end up 6 and can't find anything else!

Huh, I'd only read through vol 5.
