The last chapter pretty much confirms that she can turn her hands "normal" at will, so I guess that explains that. We even see the transition from hands to branches.

Maybe smth like "She's growing on me" would be a better way to translate the pun in the title. "She becomes a tree" is imo a lot catchier though.

She'd still have the green, leafy hair, and sometimes her tree-ness activates involuntary, like when she flowers or wilts.
