i honestly don't expect this from 99% of yuri. it's not exactly a genre full of woke authors writing about healthy relationships. i just overlook what i can, and enjoy the nice parts. i'll put up with incest, weird power dynamics, etc, etc, if its cute enough. it's just so common for yuri to have at least one thing that bothers me, that i've gotten to the point where i just try to get what i can out of it.

that said there are some authors writing top tier stuff, but its not exactly common. (ie nakatani nio, tmfly)

That's not something specific to yuri. Most manga is like that. It's a pulp medium with all the trappings typical of pulp: fetishism, bizarrely specific genre cliches, rampant wish fulfillment, author self-insertion, etc.

That depends on the people involved. There are outright married couples that have open relationships so dating certainly doesn't preclude such things in and of itself. Given her partner's response this wasn't breaking the rules of their relationship whatever those might be.

I think chapter six crossed the line.

I liked the series more when it was only about Tae and Jimiko, but I guess the introduction of the third woman will later lead to Tae and Jimiko trying to define their relationship and set up rules/boundraries
