I made a mistake of not looking at the tags and read this on the bus. I'm horrified, but interesting plot. Dunno much more since I slammed the breaks on my scrolling so hard once I got to the lewdness. By that I meant the moist handholding.

Really love the concept though I would prefer Elizabeth a few years younger, early 20s since referencing her age is a constant reminder considering her eternal lover...

Honesty I think the lot of you a bit too negative about the tragedy with Elizabeth future death, I mean apart from using the time together with love and sex, I'm sure Elizabeth would make sure that Megs can move on after her death, that this time the decades ahead they make memories together through photographs, films and Elizabeth's diary.
Considering that Mag cannot remember the past century, this time technology will ensure that she will remember.

The author could do an reincarnation story where Meg meet Elizabeth once more.
I wish there's a doujin where the eternal female ruler picks up girls from the land she rule and make them her lovers from a street kid all the way to a noble daughter. Imagine the princess reaction to being seduced by a dirty street girl under her ruler's gaze.

Am I the only one weirded out by how Maggie's pelvis is drawn on page 14?

Edit: On the other note, the story's pretty good which I forgot to add. Though gotta agree with some of the people here on the discussion thread, it glossed over a lot of stuff.

I like the page where Meg essentially goes "I'm not who you remember ... ah, never mind, I actually am ."

I guess when Elizabeth didn't immediately give up and walk away Meg decided it wasn't worth the effort to dissuade her.

By page 14 it went south really fast.

And the mother was just a pedophile with a wide strike zone.

I always liked series like Forever (2014) or Highlander, where the MC cant die and never can have just ONE identity as every other being. But it never occured to me, that they forget too as any other human does in a life time less than 100 years. https://dynasty-scans.com/chapters/tapestry#12

Imo a human is made of their memories and life choices. Having to deal with both hiding your true identity from the masses (well, maybe 95% of all people would accept you the way you are, there would be at least 1% that would do anything to put you in a lab for eternity to figure out the "youth code" to either make money or gain youth themselves. So revealing it to everyone JUST ISNT an option.) and forgeting about your past must make you very numb and apathic in the long run.. Too bad, the manga stops here.

Forgetting regularly is the only viable type of immortality.

Because otherwise, the weight of memories becomes unbearable and you'd become insane.

But the implications here are not even discussed. In 40 years, Elizabeth will be old, but Meg won't have changed.

It's like the "immortality" in this story is just a device to justify sex with an "older than she looks".

Like if Araragi was sleeping with Shinobu: "she's 500 years old, so it's ok".

Say 'adulted' quite an unusual word, its feels like something reserved for high class upbringing.

This gave me a lot of Carol's movie feelings! Many scenes were so look alike the movie (characters too) and the final scene eating sandwich is in Carol's movie as well!

Because author made this one-shot after watching Carol.

Dunno what to tell you, the whole "older than she looks" thing (and the character is nearly always female) has become so deeply established at this point that I don't think any amount of rational thought could dislodge the notion of "it's all right, she only has the body of a ten year old."

That immortality subplot felt so random. Was it really necessary?

Since it's from Towako (basically "eternity-girl"), Comic LO's loli bba specific anthology series, it kind of is.

Oh... I didn't think Meg was a loli, I thought she was just short, lol

I think a "normal memory" as everyone else has is perfectly sufficient. I know it's part of the immortality trope that it comes with thís downside of being sometimes more and sometimes less depressing because everybody else dies, but if I ie look at my great-grandmother who died at 95 and had lost literally everyone in her life expect for the younger generations and even there not all of them, then how's that different from the typical "immortal"? She certainly didn't go insane with grief.

People die, you are sad, and then you move on. It's perfectly possible for a human to cope with that with no special mechanism involved ^^;

I didn't say it was because the loss of loved ones/family/everyone you know. People can overcome that kind of grief.

I said "the weight of memories". How can you remember everything that happened in your life if it is endless? And in the same fashion that you become numb to the loss of people, because they are just passing in a flash, you become numb to life itself, because at some point, you'd become bored. If you're eternal, there's no point to anything.

Imagine the protagonist loses herself in sex with other women for centuries. Unless she's a saint, she can't love all of them until they die and keep on thinking of them forever. And at some point, sex would become a chore, because, you know... been there, done that. If you have all eternity, eternal youth and any wound is eventually healed, then even if you go to extreme sex or fetishes, once you've seen all, it becomes pointless.

Unless you're insane. Or you forget.

Eventually, having a really long life would be interesting if you can explore the universe and find new things? Alien sex may be a thing, who knows.

Or you do like "cultivators" in the Xianxia novels and meditate on the Dao for billions of years.

One of those translations where the mistakes outnumber the pages.

It messes up the significance around "Maggie". Her repeated line: "I'm Maggie. I've never been called by any other nickname." The only thing she remembers from her distant past is not that "everyone" called her Maggie, but that "someone" did. And the ending thought: "Long ago someone called me 'Maggie'. Now I have someone who calls me Meg."

I suggest the creation of the Lots of fluids tag. A number of Asagi Ryu and Mira oneshots can join this one with it.
